I have used GYG several times and have always been pleased. You usually have a small group and lots of personal attention. I won't hesitate to book with them again.
Glad to hear….i booked a day tour in Reykjavik with them for next year…I researched them with resulting good reviews.
Thanks

I use Shipmate. Once you add your cruise(s), there is an option to turn on a price alert for any of the major cabin categories you want to track. It will then send you an e-mail anytime the price goes up or down. It's not perfect as it doesn't track all the subcategories and sometimes the promotions change but it is enough to let you know when to go to the website and do a mock booking.
thank you, will try it

I booked a 2025 cruise on Celebrity Silhouette and the fares seem to be high….no more gratuities being included, but, nevertheless was wondering if there is an app to watch the fares just in case the rates drop.
i am aware of Google Flights for air fares, but not sure about cruises.
thank you

Are taxis available at the port to get to Brugge and for the return ?

I am on the Oosterdam from Venice , doing the 28 days TA to Miami…and the latest I read was that fully vaccinated guests do not need to take a Covid test prior to embarkation. I have also spoken with HA and they confirm the same…
hopefully I am correct.

Speaking from experience, having broken my knee cap on a cruise ship, your best bet is a maritime lawyer from the country the cruise line is registered in…
my lawyer was able to get minimum compensation, as the cruise lines have so many disclaimers and loop holes, and this was over 10 years ago…with Covid today, I am sure it’s even tougher.
Wish you and your wife the best

So we needed to change our return flights and lucky enough the airlines didn’t charge additional fees….however…..I contacted my TA to see if HAL was offering any compensation and so far the answer is no.
if I was charged I would really be upset, as I really feel an OBC even minimal would be appreciated by all for the inconveniences. For those that are charged additional fees, I would hold receipts and submit them for reimbursement.

We got the email as well with the now available shuttles from Venice Island. We had already booked a private transfer from Venice to the ship, which I think we will keep. Just not wanting to be on a crowded bus with 40 or more strangers during the Covid protocols.
Good idea..
may I ask how much is your private transfer and whom did you use.
thank you,
Elayne

Yes, received my confirmation from HA that complimentary buses will be leaving at 9 and 11 am…
we are staying near the airport so have decided on the 9am transfer…
Hope you work out transfer details with your TA.

Do a quick search on the board. Many discussions include drink menus. For example, this one from just a couple of weeks ago:

Just booked a 28 day cruise from Venice to Florida for October 2022, and now HA includes the Beverage package....cannot find the list of what is included now.
I am fine with wine, but my hubby likes his Scotch..so wondering which Scotches are included.
we were on a cruise in Vietnam when Covid appeared, and the cruise closed its doors immediately and brought us back to port for our safe trip home...We are so ready to travel again.
have 2 cruises booked for 2022 👍

We were on the 2/1 sailing from Singapore on the Millennium, and during that time the Princess and Holland America were quarantined. We visited 3 ports in Vietnam and then ports were closing to us, or Celebrity chose not to take us there, and so Taiwan, Halong Bay, Thailand and Hong Kong were all cancelled.
celebrity went to all extremes to make sure we were healthy, safe and able to return home. Kudos to the Captain and the entire staff... I am forever grateful. I might not have visited all I expected to see, but we returned home safely and healthy.
They reimbursed us for all expenses, in a timely manner, and we look forward to cruising with Celebrity once the virus scare has ended.

Just returned from our Asia cruise and due to the virus , Vietnam was the only ports we visited...however, we are thankful to Celebrity for cancelling our cruise and bringing us all back healthy.
Xuan was our guide for our 3 ports and he was great...he is knowledgeable, passionate about his country and his tours, friendly and caring and made sure that we were always happy...we had Vietnamese coffee, lunched on Pho , tasted freshly made rice crackers, and toured Ho Chi Min on a rickshaw which was a blast..
the best tour and tour guide !

My husband lost a gold solid mens bracelet on the Silhouette but was the TA from Rome to Miami and ended November 12th or 13th...
I have been in contact with Celebrity in Miami, but will certainly give them a call now.
Thank you..

No...have no idea which port. We are sailing with Avalon, will call them, they should know.
Thank you for information, will do our research now.

Thank you all for your responses and information..
Looks like the train is the way to go, that is, if we take manageable luggage. I might be forced to pack lighlty, which shouldn't be to difficult. Hopefully !!
The rates for private transfers from the airport to Lucerne and then from Lucerne to the the port in Basel are very high.
We are considering the train for our first leg of the trip, and now looking at how to get to the port from Lucerne. Any ideas ?

Cruising with Avalon on the Rhine, and will be arriving in Zurich.
Looking for transportation to Lucerne, where we will spend a few days before transfering to our River cruise....any recommendations appreciated.

Have been on the Infinity 3 times and have always enjoyed the MDR....we do however, try the specialty restaurant at least one evening and wait until they offer a special. Many times all you do is have to ask for a discount on their price and they will offer it to you.
Enjoy !

We are cruising with our 5 grandchildren, and of course their parents....ages from 13 to 22.
Was looking to rent a cabana but it seems they are all booked at this time. Have been told to head to Columbus Beach, less crowded and better for swimming or snorkeling.
Your thoughts...
