My wife and I will be taking a cruise next month and we're looking for some activities to do in port while at San Juan. I think we have like 8 hours before the ship leaves. Is that enough time to make it to the east coast and back? We're trying to go spearfishing. Any advice would be welcome!

Waiting in line in 70 degree weather beats -20 doing anything!

Supposedly the traffic in San Juan is increasing in large numbers due to the cycling of cruise schedules. I hear that one of the cruise lines fronted the PR govt a bunch of money to rebuild the port, then the PR govt raised docking fees etc so the cruise line re-routed all of their ships for several years. Sounds like the traffic is getting thicker around PR though. Whenever we go there we always use these guys for booking excursions: www.prvacationhelpers.com/

Has anyone snorkeled around Buck Island in St Croix? My wife and I want to try it but have heard varying reports.

We're trying to go to the bio bay in Fajardo but we're worried about the govt shutdown. Could this happen again? We're going in January if that helps and we booked through this company:http://www.prvacationhelpers.com/

If you have some time in port you can usually find some excursions that will last for a few hours. Old San Juan, El Yunque, some stuff on the east coast can be done too. Try www.prvacationhelpers.com. We had a great time. :)
