  1. My husband and I are looking at booking on the Magic using our Hot Streak Bonus offers. Both of our codes work for this particular cruise and the room rates are the same. His code, OHS is better than mine and offers him DOU card while in casino and $500 OBC.  My code, OTM  offers me DOU card while in casino and $50 OBC. Can I book through a PVP and use both codes? I thought I read somewhere that I could. Not that I am really worried about getting my $50 OBC but the DOU Card for both is great. Mine has cheaper deposit and a 2 category upgrade but we are either booking a spa balcony or cove balcony so that really doesn't matter. We plan on paying in full at time of booking so not worried about the deposit difference either.   Anyone have experience with this? Thanks in advance!

  2. We were on the Glory in Jan of 17. Second to last cruise before she went to drydock. Had issues with the vibrations and the noise due to a bad propeller. We received a 20% refund of our room and then a 15% discount for a 2-7 day cruise that we have to use by Jan of 19. Planning on cruising the first week of Januanry. I have a question regarding the 15% off. The letter states both my husband and my name on it. It says it is good for one booking and for all the members of our cabin. So, to me, that seems like we both get to use it. Now here is where my question lies. Does anyone know if we each are entitled to this credit or if only one of us can use it? I called customer service and they were not helpful. Sent an email to my PVP and waiting to hear back.

We are considering upgrading to a balcony for us and an inside for our girls if only one of us can use it. But, if we both are entitled to use it we would book two separate ocean views so that our girls get a room with a view. I know, selfish of us to book a balcony for us and an inside for the girls, but they get the benefit of it too. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  3. We must not be "high rollers" LOL. The only free cabin offer we've ever received was for an inside on a 5 day cruise during hurricane season last year. My husband always earns the free drinks by the 2nd day, we've received fruit and wine deliveries to our rooms, a couple of excursion credits but never a really awesome deal on a cabin. Planning on going on the 8 day southern Caribbean on the Sunshine in January. Would be awesome to have a balcony on that one with 4 sea days but can't justify the extra expense. It's nearly double the Oceanview for one person and that's using the PTF rate.

  4. I am looking at a Jan 14 sailing out of Tampa. It states online that we can get an awesome rate on a junior suite. The question I have is that it shows cabins on decks 9 and 10. However, the deck plans show no cabins on those decks. They state there are no staterooms on them. Does anyone have an idea of why this might be showing availability? Is the Rhapsody going in to dry dock over the next few months and perhaps they are adding cabins? I am confused as to why it is showing this unless perhaps they are swapping out ships? Just trying to make sure it is not an error and that I don't wind up booking a cruise that has to be switched. Also any info on the Rhapsody will be greatly appreciated. We have never use RCL before, only Carnival. Have sailed on the Glory and Valor and loved the size of the ships as well as the ships layouts and cabins. Right now Carnival is too high compared to what we can get a suite for on RCL. Thanks!

  5. Thanks for the help. Unfortunately Sunday happens to be a day at sea for us next week on the Glory so as much as I would love to attend in port somewhere that is not an option. I appreciate all the help. We are Baptist Christians and will probably just have a small gathering together among ourselves.

  6. I called ATT and she advised me that Carnival doesn't have a plan with them for at sea service. She told me that I couldn't purchase an international package either because it wouldn't help me. We are going to Grand Cayman, Honduras, Belize and Cozumel. The rep really tried to help but I don't think she really knew what she was talking about. Coevan, how was your plan only $6? We want to be able to call our kids and check on them and I thought about purchasing the social media internet package and using the Whatsapp. However, I don't know if the Whatsapp calling feature will work while we are at sea. I have used free wifi in ports many times but am unsure of this app. The last thing I want is an outrageous bill.

  7. We will be in Mahogany Bay in January. Are the only cabanas available for a day rental through the cruise line or are there other private cabana rentals? Carnival's are sold out. We are looking for something to do and that sounds like what we want. If not, do you recommend any hotels that have a day pass? Thanks!

  8. We are booked for the Glory in January sailing the Western Caribbean. We have never been booked in the rear of the ship before and I have a few questions. Is there increased noise from propellers etc being in the rear? And also if there is more motion. We usually are in the middle of the ship and I am normally okay with the motion during the night. However, being in the rear I am curious as what to expect. I am not completely in the very back just a few up though. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  9. We were on the Valor in 2015 and hardly anyone was in a tux. There was a wide range of dress from shorts and tee shirts to suits and evening gowns. It was a great time. There was a party on the Lido deck to welcome in the New Year with free champagne to everyone. Unfortunately I was sick however my husband had a great time ringing in the new year with our friends.

  10. I am curious but how much do you usually take to gamble with? First day at sea I won over 800 before noon on a Fishbowl game. My spouse likes roulette and usually does fairly well. We are booked on a 7 day cruise in Jan 2017 aboard the Glory. Not a very port intensive cruise and has 2 days at sea. Our last cruise was 7 days eastern Caribbean and was very port intensive- 10 to 12 hours per day in port. We took $2000 to gamble with and came back with $1800 so not a bad deal. However, we are trying to figure out what we should take this time since we are out to sea quite a bit. Thanks in advance!

  11. I would love to read a recent review of the western Caribbean trip. Myself and about 16 other work couples will be on that cruise in January upon the Glory. However, I did have a wine question. Since you are allowed 2 bottles per cabin, couldn't you get off the boat once you are checked in and go and buy 2 more then get back on before you leave? I actually have a few co-workers who asked me. I have in the past just took our two bottles and had another couple bring on two bottles as well that were mine.

  12. We have about 18 going on a cruise during New Year's and were wondering from past cruisers what to expect on New Year's Eve aboard the Carnival Valor. Also, is this one of the 2 formal nights? Our cruise leaves out on Sunday from San Juan, is in St. Thomas on Monday and then Tuesday is our day at sea. I know from past cruises that this will be one of the formal nights but didn't make sense that they would be back to back with NYE being on Wednesday. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
