A thin strip of Velcro around the trigger worked very well for us.

Looks like chartering out a cruise ship is the new thing to do. We were on Summits repo cruise from San Juan to Bayonne this past April 21st -28th and decided to book the same cruise for 2019. The future cruise salesperson said sorry but that cruise has been chartered out.

We were in FV 7202 corner aft on the Summit which had a large wooden table with 6 chairs.

We're booked on the Summit Repo cruise the end of October. This is our first time on X, and we're looking forward to trying Qsine. I hope it's still available!!
We were on the Summit repo cruise this past April from PR to Bayonne and Qsine was still onboard as of then. Enjoy your cruise !

At that late of arrival time we end up walking around town and end up in the CVS or Walgreens close by the pier.

Thank you very much - we leave next week on the Millennium in an OV, and haven't done anything but Concierge Class with Celebrity before. Had heard that the breakfast room service menu was different for non-concierge. And we have several early excursion days, so room service is the easiest option.
This menu is from our Concierge Cabin on last weeks cruise aboard the Summit.

Does anyone have a picture of the blow dryers on the Summit? I'm trying to decide if it is worth packing my own.

I don't have a photo, but I can tell you that if you have hair that's longer than 3 inches, bring your own. You have to hold down the button the entire time, or it shuts off, or you can wrangle it down with tape or rubber bands. It's an exercise in misery. :') Even the smallest travel hair dryer would be better than the ones on the ship.
I'm a big Celebrity fan, but their blowdryers are awful. ;)

Just got off Summit 4hrs ago on the repositioning cruise back to Bayonne and had a great cruise with no complaints other than finding out that this same repo cruise for next year is unavailable because the Summit has been chartered out .

Going to use a strip of Velcro around the trigger this trip on the Summit 4/21. Wide rubberbands will work in a pinch.

We were able to get FV 7202 corner aft cabin on Summit back in May 2015 for just the two of us out of Bayonne. Our cabin steward said we were lucky because during the summer months they want 5 in that cabin.

Sorry to hear of your loss . My mom passed suddenly while we we on a nine day Caribbean cruise on RCL and we had to disembark on morning five in St. Maarten. Luckily my wife had purchased travel insurance. After informing them of our trip interruption and filing all the forms and documents we were reimbursed for the four days we were not onboard and airfares from St. Maarten to San Juan to Newark NJ . This did take about two months but we did get it back. The best RCL could do was convey their condolences and say "hope to see you soon on your next cruise". Travel insurance saved the day.....

Avoid booking aft cabins , you might be bumping me on a future cruise ;p

We were looking to book Golden Eagle on our upcoming April cruise on Celebrity Summit , but cannot find them on Celebrity's shore excursions.

We had SV 6311 on Reflection this past December and SV 6308 on Equinox last month and had no problem with privacy from the above cabins . Both cabins were average size with SV 6308 just a tad wider. We would book these cabins again. No problems with soot either.

Hi all,Is the Solstice/16th deck on Reflection a relative quiet spot or? Sometimes the more out of the way spots tend to be more quiet, just wondering as those day beds look very good!
Thanks!
Was on the Reflection last week,12/10 -12/17/16 . The Solstice deck was quiet the couple of days we used it. It was a bit windy but caught some great rays !

Not only did my TA include a birthday cake request on my reservation, I called Celebrity twice before boarding and spoke to the Captains Club hostess on the ship. Celebrity did agree that the cake request was on the reservation and somehow it didn't happen. They agreed that somebody messed up. As far as redoing it the next night., we were disembarking the next morning. Celebrity said that they were sorry. My TA was more upset than me. He said it was unacceptable for Celebrity to ignore his requests.
As for shampoo on the ship. The shampoo is in small tubes. It is made for Celebrity by Gilchrist and Saomes. A tube is enough for 1-2 shampoos. Same size tubes of conditioner, bath gel(only in comcierge class), and body lotion. Some people like it. Some people don't. As with all hair products, people like different products. I usually bring my own products just in case the products on the cruise are not what I like. I never assume that just because someplace had great hair products on a previous vacation that the same products will be there on the next vacation.
Before our Summit cruise , my wife ordered and paid for a birthday cake to be delivered to our cabin on the day she requested. Sure enough there was a knock on our door and the cake was there. Delicious cake ,but enough for at least eight persons , and there was just the two of us ! We offered some to our cabin steward and his helper but they declined. When we dined in Qsine I also got a small birthday desert that I could not finish....LOL
