There would be absolutely NOTHING funny about someone carrying COVID onboard and destroying the vacations of a thousand other people. And some only have the J&J vaccine which is only 65% effective. There would be nothing funny about someone carrying COVID onboard, infecting the crew, infecting the kids, infecting other adult passengers,,, resulting in the ship flying the black/yellow checkered flag and being banned from entering port.

What does the "some only have the J&J vaccine" mean.? Are you saying those people should not be allowed?

  2. Call, don’t e mail.they are open 24/7 just press whatever number it is for a new reservation. Later at night or early morning are not too bad for hold times.

just to add, you have until the 27th not the 14th

    • Our NEW Lift & Shift option is ideal for your clients simply wishing to move their existing reservation to next year, protecting their original price and promotion. Select next year’s sailing on the same itinerary type, sailing length, stateroom category, and within the same 4-week window of the original cruise date and your clients are all set. Act quickly — option expires on June 10, 2020 for those sailings departing June 12-July 31 and on June 17, 2020 for those sailings impacted by the Canada port restrictions!

I get that the price is protected, but what happens if 2021 prices are cheaper. I am seeing that on Alaska cruises

  3. We had two rooms booked on the Mariner in April.  When the cruise was cancelled, I received an email asking if I wanted a refund for my cruise planner items, or 125% credit for cruise planner items on a future cruise.  I opted for the 125% credit.  A few weeks later I received a very detailed email listing all of my cruise planner items and the credit cards I had used to pay each item, stating I would be receiving refunds via the card I used to pay each.  I didn't want to argue about it so I left it at that.

I purchased my cruise planner items for my next scheduled cruise, as they were having a pretty good sale, and waited for the refunds.  This weekend I received emails stating I have 125% credit coming for each of the items I purchased for the Mariner.  The prices have now gone way up in cruise planner for the next booked cruise, so cancelling and rebooking it not a good option.

I have yet to receive the FCC for the Mariner cruise.  Each time my travel agent calls they tell him it will be a few more days, or a few more weeks, or maybe by the end of the month.

I have not received a thing with regard to port fees and taxes, nor have I received any documentation regarding the refund of my prepaid gratuities.

I know this is no one's fault; however, I am beyond frustrated.

I have not received my 25% FCC for a June Alaska cruise that RCL cancelled over a month ago. I also moved that cruise to August so I’m wondering if that gets cancelled would I get another 25% FCC?

  4. Anybody fill out the form that says you will receive 125% future OBC of what you purchased on the cruise planner for the latest round of cancellations. I did but they also just refunded my original purchases, as I moved the original booking to a future sailing. Looking to get the extra 25%. Not a big deal but it was offered

  5. Hi everyone. I know these are uncertain and dismal times for many, I hope everyone is staying well and dealing with this in their own way.

I was wondering if some of you could help out. We're looking to cruise out of NJ in June but we have some concerns with it. Major concern is weather. We always cruise from FL and our concern was that even in June, the weather for the first few days might not be amazing coming out of NJ. That concern carries to the sea days as we return to NJ as well. What can we expect for weather in June coming out of NJ, down to Bahamas and back? Second concern is motion. Is motion an issue off the east coast? Has anyone done one of these sailings that can offer some input? Would definitely help us make a decision. That is if June sailings even happen... Thanks for any help you guys can give. Stay safe and Healthy!

June the weather is just fine in NJ. Hope you get to go

  6. I know this has been talked to death, but there are still some things I don't understand.  My May 10th cruise was just cancelled.  I plan on taking the Fcc.  Heres where I get confused.  I want to book another cruise immediately for 5/30.  How would this work with it possibly taking 30 days to receive my fcc?  Also, I am taking a friend along..does the fcc go under her name as well, even though I paid the full fare under my account?  I'll pay out of pocket and use the fcc another time if I have to, but I don't want to have to bring her again lol.

I had my June cruise cancelled. My ta was able to transfer what I paid to a August cruise . I did not need to put anything else down

  7. Missed cruising by one day. We'll take 125% FCC and 125% credit for my Cruise Planner purchases for our May 11 booking. I'm not in a hurry to book another cruise in the next 20 months.

I have a feeling that there will be plenty of cabins available whenever I decide to book.

Will they transfer the cruise planner credit to your next sailing or is it an open credit?

  8. Trump already said the cruise industry would get a bailout. Airlines, Cruises, Hotels, Small Businesses...those were some he specifically mentioned in one of the press conferences in the past day or so.

No matter what your opinion is of politics, bailouts, etc, there is no way that cruise prices don't go up as a result of this. Once things go back to some semblance of normal operations, prices will go up. They will have massive losses to recoup, and if there are strings attached to a bailout such as paying US Taxes, no matter which way you slice it, cruising will get more expensive.

I agree prices will go up but I don’t believe in the short term cruising will be on everybody’s list. Then when there is no demand prices will come down

  9. my opinion is in this day and age cash is better than credit.

I don't know RCL financials that well but it appears they have somewhere around 8-11BN in long term debt and usually 250M in cash on hand. The largest asset it holds is it' actual ships which book value is around 25BN, but if you think about the buyers of that kind of asset what would someone really pay for that in a distressed situation? Maybe half of that? So you figure enough to cover the debt, everything else would be wiped out.

If the company goes bankrupt and has to liquidate its ships etc. after they pay off the debtholders, you might be next in line to get something. At the end of the day in these extenuating circumstances they would have to pry the cold hard cash from my hands a credit from them right now potentially isn't worth the paper its written on given the extreme nature of what is happening here, there i no guarantee that you ever get to use that credit.

    Would insurance cover a bankruptcy?
