Princess do not offer any sip & sail to any bookings to anywhere made from Australia we always miss out on this and other offers like airfare inclusions but NCL & Celebrity have drink packages included in most cruises on offer .

We have just bought the premium beverage package for March 13th -13 day cruise Sydney -New Zealand & paid $86.39 per day  other passengers on different days are paying $79.99 or $83.15 per day and sent screen shots on the Majestic Princess Forum on Facebook .

I have called princess today and they couldn't explain , so i  have sent them an email with screen shots , interesting to see what they say.

For legal reasons, free should be completely free. If McDonalds offered you free fries with your burger, you get them free, you don't pay taxes or gratuity on them.

 

Instead of pre-paying gratuity which the NCL waiters NEVER see, just make drink packages completely free with the expectation that you must offer cash tip to the waiters for every single drink. That is more than fair.

 

NCL is just pocketing the pre-paid gratuity for extra profit like a typical corporation. Your drink package isn't free. It's paying for the Johnny Walker Black Label and coke you ordered.

Booking in Australia we don"t pay the 20%on the drink or specialty dinning package ,but we pay more for the cruise than the USA.

We are 80 days out the spirit, last night we received a upgrade offer, we were in an insidecabin the max amount on the balcony upgrade was set at $425 au each, i bid $300 au each this morning my upgrade was accepted paid for and room allocated really amazed this happened all in one day.
