Doesn’t your mother have batteries for the POC that can be charged beforehand?

I will be doing the October 2019 to Norway and to see the Northern Lights.
I want to know what would be good to wear in Norway and preferably what walking shoes are good.

We are also Elite and feel at home on Princess. The dealings today with them were icing on the cake

I had two 7d cruises booked, both with non refundable deposits, held by future cruise deposits. I found a HI round trip cruise 3/11/19 that would fit perfectly, but I didn’t know how to book it. Princess cancelled both 7d cruises, let me keep the FCDs and transferred the $4000 already paid on the one 7d cruise that was after final payment, so the HI cruise is now more than halfway paid.:)

Sadie, I know you're local. Any suggestions? I'm trying to avoid paying for a hotel and then paying for parking at the pier too.

Yes, that's the weekend. My cruise is 4/14. I figured there had to be something going on.:(

How bad is the Best Western in San Pedro? Both the Crowne Plaza and Doubletree are full on my dates in April 2018

Are there medical centers onboard Hurtigruten ships?

they are booking the 11/14/17 cruise over the phone.

I did it on the 10/27-11/6 cruise on the Regal--it's still $100. Very nice, they'll move it inside if the weather's bad. A little tighter because of the balcony size, but the UBD is worth every penny.

I was just talking with my TA about something else and mentioned this. When she called me back she said she had spoken with a supervisor who told her that currently the prepayment for excursions is for Alaska only, but that we should be prepared for it to change at some point. Stay tuned---

Does anyone know if there are any exercise videos on demand on the regal princess?

I got one for residents of AZ, same thing, save up to 55%. Only thing is, it's for cruises this spring, not my HI cruise in October.

I was on the 12/20-12/27 cruise that had a delayed boarding due to a deep clean for Noro. There were absolutely no issues in service/condition of the ship. Our steward was particularly conversational and pleasant, our cabin was always clean and well cared for, and we didn't notice anything off. The CD staff had to work particularly hard after we missed Belize (due to high winds) and created a day's worth of activities and printed a new Patter within an hour. The captain was on the overhead very frequently letting us know what the conditions were (we had heavy seas and winds the whole trip). I had been on the Caribbean Princess in the past and wouldn't hesitate to travel on her again.

question for recent Princess transfer users. When you signed up for the transfer, were you given a specific time, and, when you arrived at the airport to take the bus, were you made to stick to your specific time? I signed up yesterday for transfers from IAH to Bayport on 12/20 and my TA was told that 11:30 was the only time available. I want to get there early and see if they'll take us before 11:30. Wanted to see what other peoples experiences were.

a question for recent Princess transfer users. Were you assigned a specific time for your transfer and, if you were, once you got to the airport for the transfer, did the Princess staff there make you keep to your assigned time or could you go earlier? I just signed up for a transfer to Bayport on 12/20 and was given a specific time of 11:30--my TA said the Princess person on the phone said that was the only time left. It's been a while since I did a Princess transfer and don't remember being assigned a specific time.

I cruise Princess more than I do Carnival, and my last Carnival cruise was over 5yrs ago, on the Dream. We found out probably 2 days in to the cruise that one of our dogs at home was dying. The front desk staff was wonderful, letting us make calls both in the cabin and there at the front desk without charge, even coordinating a call from our vet. I'll never forget that.:)

thanks for posting this. My TA didn't know about it. My cruise fare went down $1000 (for an Emerald deck mini-suite) on the 12/20 cruise, plus free gratuities, and a bunch of OBC for being in a group. Not bad. It apparently covers other ships, too, my TA said--she's going to call back about other people she has going out of FL over Xmas.:)

My Oct 2021 trip on the Sapphire’s been cancelled. Now I wonder what ship if any will replace her on the Hawaii run during that time frame
