We are sailing on the Divia on Sept 19th. This is a makeup cruise for our trip on the Oceana in May. I had surgery and missed our cruise. This is our first time to see Europe and are very excited.

We read mixed reviews on the Divia the most negative being the food. We are Americans and our standards aren't so high. I Feel so much better after reading your review and think you for the tips!!

20. September we start with our cruise, i'm absolutely sure that you will love the ship ;)

That you decided to take in the sights, sounds and mmmmmmm smells of Cannes, was super. Cannes is such an beautiful place and you can see more of the city and feel the spirit if you walk :).

I prefer to choose the Yacht Club, but for what i earn points??

I've you are a Gold or blackcard member this downgrading to 5 % for loyal members is a BIG choke for Yacht Club Guests.

And now they create a "loyalty Club", the same for me...... no benefits :(

For every cruise i've a budget. If i pay more for the cruise because they downgrade me to a classic member (club member discount), i've less money for the trips. :rolleyes:

(okay.....i've forgotten the generous 50 Euro voucher (100 for a couple)..... but i've you pay 6'300 Euro for a cruise this voucher is more than a choke..

For the next cruises i've a look to celebrity cruises (Aqua class) or Crystal, i'm not happy what they create in the msc marketingdepartement. :mad:

But the membership is free for both sides, they can change the rules and i can choose an other cruise line... I'm not forced to cruise with them, which is really sad because i enjoyed the Yacht Cclub very much.

The customer service is horrible

And i prefer 16, near to the pool and i always use the golden swarovski stairs if i go to the Lounge (like Cindarella....) :p

I'm following this thread. We're sailing June 10th and was wondering about dress code. Looks like FAQ says no jeans in the evening. I have no problem dressing up a bit for formal nights but was wondering about everything else. We have out tours booked and plan on bringing a lightweight day pack for sweaters, water and purse stuff. Looking forward to it!

Just returned from MSC Divina. The ship was beautiful. The embarkment process was the fastest I have ever experienced and so was Dis-embarkment (15 min. tops). I only have one complaint... the language barrier in the Black Crab was terrible for Americans. We were almost at the point of drawing pictures. I work with many people with different languages and never had that much problem with communication but this was painful. I was part of the Vegan group so I did not get to choose what cruiseline and I do not plan on booking this cruise line again.

Other cruises have many different languages on board but this one was the most difficult to understand what they were saying. Some crewmembers were nice and helpful and others seemed rude.

To travel in a vegan group on an italian ship can be a challenge. Next time inform them before you go, the most of them are really helpful!;)

Be kind to your butler and ask discretely,,,a few extra euros wouldn't hurt either;)

We are on a cruise in Juli with Fantasia, do you think they cancel all the stops for the next few months in Tunisia?

So they go from Malta direct to Mallorca?

We planned in Tunisia a pool day, because in the summer it is to hot in the city.

Also when we cruised last year (September with Splendida) to Tunisia we stayed at the ship because our room neighbor said that the austria government gave warning.

But here in switzerland i nothing heard, about this warning.

Es hat mir wirklich sehr viel Freude gemacht, aber manches hab ich nicht sofort verstanden. Es war eine gute Englischlektion für mich, drum werde ich deine Berichte mehr als einmal lesen! "Bewaffnet" mit iPad, Pons Englisch-Deutsch und einer grossen Tasse Tee hast du/ihr mir so manchen "Schlecht-Wetter Sonntag" verschönert und wirst es weiterhin tun !!

YC3 with 2 Children, or YC1?

They have some suites in the YC1 for families with small children (but only 4 per floor i think so), which are greater. With my sister and godchild we choose the room 16033.

The YC2 is to far away with children and for me it is not the same ;)

On the prezisiosa it is the room number:

15031 15029 15030 15028

This rooms have sofa bed, but it works only with small children IMO.
