  1. Our flight LAX to Brisbane, one way, $500 or pp cheaper than the airline site. Complete control over which flight, category and seats. I do comparison shop and sometimes EZ Air is less expensive, sometimes not, and sometimes an airline or flight I want is not a part of EZ Air, but when it has what I want, there are savings.

We found the same thing. We saved 500 pp on RT tickets from LAX to Sydney by not using easy air. We are flying Fiji Airways.

  2. Awwwww...that’s nice. Thanks! It’s also correct. We haven’t!

But even we know that we are not cut out to be World Cruisers. Sea days, as many have mentioned, are wonderful...in small doses...for us. We may be encountering our first run of six in a row next season, which we’re not looking forward to, but on some itineraries, it’s the price to be paid.

Sooooooo..... will you share the details of your next trip? We are doing Fiji in January and wondering if you guys might be on that cruise. I know you enjoyed your South Pacific cruising last year, are you guys doing a repeat? We are going to grow up and be like You and G.

  3. Wow! I just fugured it out. It's not about me, it's for and about my fellow cruisers.

Nobody cares if I want a few formal nights or no formal nights. But there are some of my fellow cruisers who enjoy a few nights of formality. So out of respect for them, I will either dress formally in the MDR, or I will eat elsewhere.

I was thinking of all the people who dress for the occasion to make my cruise special. The captain, the maitre d', the assistant waiters, the bar tenders etc. Gosh, once I stopped thinking about what I want and more of what some of fellow cruisers wanted, the answer was simple.

Anyway, thanks to whomever brought this topic up. I had an epiphany and I thank you for that.

  4. Well, in a delightful turn of events, the wine lists have turned up, and I'll post them as soon as I don't have to type with my thumbs.

I just want to say, "dog gone you, I don't want to spend 39.00/person (there will be four of us), but you made that sound do good...... I am thinking of it."

    BTW, loved the review.

  5. I was in that theater the OP is talking about and the over reaction was pitiful!

I do not mean to pick on you, but suppose the late people had been 5 hours late. Would you of been upset? What about 8 hours, would you of been upset? And if so, how would you of reacted? There might of been an over reaction, but I would like to think that this reaction would of left an indelible mark on the late people such that they would not be late ever again.

BTW, my cut off is 15 minutes, if someone is late after 15 minutes under most circumstances, I move on, if I can. Unfortunately there were a lot of folks essentially restricted to the theater until the late people showed up.

AS a side note, my younger brother was always the last one to show up to everything. I think it was a power trip on his part. Very rude. I now do not plan on doing anything with him for that reason, I do not like those whom do not respect my time.

  6. Just to cast my vote, I enjoy a couple formal nights on each cruise. It makes for a special night. I like variety.

Hey wait a minute, why don't we have a couple formal nights, a couple smart casual nights and then maybe some wife beater nights....... errrrr, skip the wife beater nights, but you get the idea. Variety is wonderful.
