I had read somewhere that morning room service coffee was available at no charge.  Does anyone know if this is still available?  If it is, how does one go about ordering?  TIA 😎

Coffee and continental breakfast are free. A tip is appropriate. 2 to 5 dollars depending on how much you order. No charge. The 7.95 is for other room service options.

  2. Our experience so far. We always do early seating dinner. We are dressed and ready well before dinner and we go to whatever bar we prefer at that time for our 3 drinks. Typically the British pub if that is what is on our ship.

We go and have our early dinner and then head to the diamond lounge. At this point, about an hour before late seating, we typically find the diamond lounge empty for about an hour and have great service and get our fill for the evening.

When the lounge opens, it is packed, but the last hour is mostly vacant from our experience.

If you have the confirmation email it should be listed there. Otherwise Google your ship name and sail date and there will be dozens of sites available that will show the itinerary (many are travel agent sites, so can't be listed here, but you can just view the itinerary)

Thanks. I will remember that in the future. It is a shame that I have to leave the Royal sight to get such a simple answer. Oh well.

  4. We love freedom. Make sure to have coffee delivered at whatever time you want to get up so you can enjoy that on your balcony in the morning. That is how we start every morning on a cruise. She is a great ship. We have been on her 4 times. Order it on your TV before you go to bed and choose your time. You will get a phone call a few minutes before it arrives.

Later in the evening, check out the Bull and Bear pub on the promenade for some good music and drinks. Typically a guy and a guitar ranging from laid back to a little heavier, but has always been great on our trips. We almost always finished our evenings there.

    Enjoy!

  5. Some time ago, we booked the Mariner for Feb 11th 2019. As many of us do, we check prices on a regular basis.

About three weeks ago I was no longer able to mock book my cruise in order to look at pricing. I know I don't really need to keep checking as my travel agent's franchise has automatic tells when there is a price change, but I still keep at it.

I saw my travel agent at lunch a couple of weeks ago (we are in a networking group together), and asked her why this was. (I can still see my booking on RCI). She said she would check when she got home. She called me later that evening and told me that the sailing had gone into code red. Meaning no bookings are being accepted until they straighten something out.

Anyone ever have this happen? Any travel agents have insight into this? This has been for 3 weeks now.

Thanks in advance for any useful information. I love learning about how things work.
