  1. We tried to give a tip tp our server at dinner last cruise and he refused saying his boss the team leader got all tips and would share. This was Carnival Dream. I have even been told by frequent cruisers to write a note with tips left in room or the steward could get fired for taking the money. We locked money and credit cards in our safe but cameras were always left in the room and never were bothered as were I-phones also left without incident. I have heard logo American sport team hats are highly desirable though.

  2. Do you ask who are you, where do you come from, why are you working this job of your waiters at Denny's?

Kind of presumptuous don't you think?

Yes unless they volunteer the info as our last steward did. It was his last cruise and he was leaving for medical school.

  3. Carnival just started selling water through their online store ahead cheaper $2.99 for 12 pack of 16 oz bottles because you can no longer bring bottles of drinks on board. If you order on board it is $4.99 same water. Seems a good deal. Perhaps this is where you can purchase water on other cruise ships.

  4. We each leave a $20 bill with a very short written thank you. Seems the room steward could use this. We don't want to waste his precious time on his busiest day being cute. Remember the day you disembark is their longest day because they have to clean your room and embark another guest as well.

  5. Any videos I've seen makes it look like the Dream is really crowded, especially on the decks with pool and sunning areas? Is this all the time, or possibly just the first day when people might be filming videos? I haven't been on a Carnival ship and the Dream doesn't seem to be that much larger than my last ship the Grand Princess. Grand just didn't seem that crowded to me.
