That's what I meant.
It is not a "kids club".
That is some silly name that keeps getting passed on & on and everyone believes it..
And, yet, that's what everyone calls it. So, the point is?

Only two weeks remain in the quarter/year, perhaps they are trying some things to meet/exceed budget and earnings expectations.

For our cruise with our children in a few weeks I did not see any connecting balconies online, then called our big-box travel agent and they immediately found the perfect ones on deck 8 which were not showing online. Either I wasn't putting in the number of people correctly as someone previously stated or they were withholding them for someone looking for connecting cabins. Either way, I was very happy to have secured them!

Looking forward to your report! We will be on HOS Western in two weeks. Can't wait.

1. I can't even begin to imagine the horror this woman has been through with this incident. I don't fault her whatsoever in wanting to hold everyone involved responsible and remuneration is the primary way to do that.
2. Maybe scratching big checks will help in some way prevent something like this from happening again. Again, monetary punishment is the only way to send a message to those responsible that changes need to be made.

The combination of the deck number and those three digits is your cabin number.

Is the children's price good for 12 and under or ? Do they have to order off the children's menu?

You can prepurchase arcade credits and get a decent discount via the cruise planner. I believe if you then don't give your niece spending privileges she won't run into overspending issues.
You can dropoff no problem, it's the pickup where they will check who you are. Her parents will provide the camp with a list of people who are authorized to pickup when they register her for the camp.

Has anyone been able to (recently) purchase a Flowrider lesson/private session online? I know I have done it in the past but it is not showing up as an option on any cruise I am booked for currently.
Thanks.
I called last week and asked this exact question. They said the bookings should be available between 60 and 90 days from cruise date. The lessons should be listed under the activities section.

I keep them and use them as bookmarks.

Thanks so much for your review! It was very entertaining following along this week. And congratulations on 25 years, that is an amazing accomplishment.
Based on the pictures it looks like you're a very tall guy. That definitely makes a big difference in drink consumption. A very wise choice buying the drink package and it was lots of fun following the savings as you did.
We are on HOTS late December and I was on the fence about buying the package. I may just buy it to have fun tracking it all week, not to mention the "challenge" of at least breaking even.
Safe travels home!

Hugely entertaining and informative!
I say we all chip in and send them back out. Who's with me?

Great review of the Blue Hole, thank you! We did it a few years ago with our kids and it was a day we will never forget. I wouldn't think twice about going back there again even with the issues in Mobay.
Enjoy the rest of your cruise!

Great review so far, thank you! Did you happen to try the bruschetta at Vintages? They all sound excellent.

Yes MSC do things differently but for the price you cannot beat it.
Can you tell a little more about this? I have been eyeing the MSC Seaside as an interesting alternative to RCI for our family.

We have 8586 & 8588 booked on Harmony late this year. Based on all the positive feedback on deck 8, glad we switched from 7 a few weeks ago. Can’t wait!

He always has great insight and I particularly like that he’s not afraid to give an honest opinion. Does the guy ever sleep???

I have won 10 of 15 times I have entered. Only once did I not finish in the top 3.
.
I am in awe, sir! :D:D:D:D

I suspect the only people who have actually read the whole thing are the $500/hour attorneys who drafted it in the first place. Or those with extreme insomnia.

Our 12-year-old boys wore shorts or jeans on casual nights. Khaki pants and polo shirts on formal nights. That worked perfectly fine. There are thousands of people going to those dinners wearing everything from shorts to tuxedos. No one will care or know the difference what your boys wear. Have him wear whatever he is comfortable in.

We were in 12602/12604 on the Oasis and weren't impacted by an overhang. Lots of sun.

The answer (as to almost all questions in life if you ask "Why?" often enough) is, money.
Exactly. We've priced DCL versus RCL for our most recent two cruises and DCL has been 40-60% more expensive. Not worth it for our family.
-
It won’t stop us from sailing on the Oasis-class ships, but I have to agree they look like floating hotels more than classic cruise ships. I love the look of the DCL ships, to me they are pure class. But the price plus lesser amenities has caused us to sail on RCL for now.

We are needing two rooms for April 6th before getting on Harmony of the Seas. Prices seem crazy for some of these places, $300+ for Hyatt Place. How does the Valuetrips site work? It is showing rate of $119, are you guaranteed that rate when you send in request?
We booked the Hyatt House in Dania Beach for our pre-cruise night because it was "only" 8,000 Hyatt points, maybe that would work? Looks like $215 for your night.
Placeholder Deposit Refund - Cautionary Tale
in Disney Cruise Line
Posted
18 months ago we were on the Fantasy and booked two placeholder reservations. I called my big-box travel agency today to have my $500 refunded as we are unable to cruise before the deadline. Since the credit card I used for the deposit was canceled due to fraud I am now expected to get a letter from the credit card company (Chase) stating that the card was canceled and that there is zero balance. Then I have to FAX that to Disney with a copy of my drivers license. And all within the next 7 days. And Chase just said it would take 7 days to send the letter to me.
Why the use of fax (very 1980s; maybe I'll call them using my bag phone next time) and why all this within 7 days is beyond me. Hopefully this works out, but just a word of caution to those that may not use their placeholder reservations.
As a side note, both the agency representative and especially the Chase rep laughed out loud when they heard what Disney is expecting (the Chase rep said, "they're not expecting very much, are they?" I just had to laugh along with them...
