  1. We used DenRus this past Aug. for St. Petersburg, while on the Century Baltic sailing. There was full cooperation from the ship. The Captain's club hostess arranged for our group to wait in a pre-arranged area and saw to it that we were off in pleanty of time for our scheduled tour. We mentioned the fear that many had regarding this at the Connection party. They went out of their way to help us and to ensure us that we would have a delightful time. There were a few guests that used other independant tour agencies and they too were treated the same way. DenRus gave us exactly what they promised and the food for the lunches that was included in the Value tour was fabulous. Just be sure to wear your most comfortable walking shoes, It was fast paced and we really did see so much in so little time. We took over 700 pictures and wished we had taken more film. It is a truely remarkable trip that we will remember for a lifetime.

  2. Not so funny, but odd none the less. Our last cruise we saw an elderly (around 80) man, a rather portly gentleman in a white speedo....OK not so bad until....he went swimming. The suit became see through! Those topless decks became tame in comparison!

While on a cruise, a few years back, there was a sexy legs contest for men. A couple of gay men entered, wearing black speedos with brightly colored fruit on them. They won!

  3. The last night on board you pack and put out your bags. Clothes for morning are left out for your last day aboard. My DH set aside jeans and a t-shirt for himself and I set out a jogging suit for me. The next morning a look of pure horror was on my husband's face as he struggled to get his legs into MY jeans. There was no way he would ever fit into them. Luckily the nylon jogging suit I had was a bit larger and he could just squeeze into it, if he did not sit down and did not put anything into the pockets. The second we got our bags after debarkation, he headed for the restroom to change. We now check the sizes for everything we take.

Also, after driving 24 hours to get to the pier (due to the great power failure last year) we found that we had left his passport, driver's licence and birth certificate somewhere between the car gate check in and the cruise terminal. We searched everywhere and the parking attendants also helped, but to no avail. Because I had pre-registered our embarkation forms, they let me sign for my husband and he had to travel at my side when in the ports. We found the documents one half hour into the drive back home on the side door pocket.:D
