We fly into Miami Thurs night for a Sunday cruise. We will have a rental car but are unsure where to stay. We are in our early 50's and want a nice pool, evening cocktails and good food. We love the beach but the pool is more important. Looking for suggestion. Should we stay in Miami, South Beach or maybe FLL. Mid priced hotels are best. Not looking for budget but don't need luxury.

We are considering the Cozumel Bar Hop but are curious about just grabbing a cab and heading over to the "Other Side". Are cabs readily available on the East Side? How much should a cab cost for 2 peeps from Downtown? Any recommendations on restaurants/bars?

We are looking for suggestions regarding beachfront restaurants and beach bars, We are not looking for an AI option or the big, popular tourist spots. We don't mind taking taxi's as we have been to Cozumel many times. Would like to find smaller restaurants that have great food, cold beer and preferably, tables on the beach.
