  1. Seaver; we have been on the Spirit at least a half dozen times and the Wind twice since the refurb (Nov 16, July 17).

The Spirit’s fitness room is a bit larger than the Wind with the cardio (3 Ellipticals,3 Treadmills, 2 recumbent bikes, one standup bike, one spin bike) co located with free weights/other machines.

If I recall correctly the Wind’s fitness room has one less elliptical and the free weights/stretch room is separate from cardio equipment separated on each side by the spa desk. That said, we did make use of both of these ship’s fitness facilities work. At least the Wind has access to a men’s only shower whereas the Spirit’s fitness facility has no men’s only shower only a unisex shower.

On the plus side the Wind’s fitness facility has a better sea view than the Spirit’s does.

Really too bad that neighbor of these Silversea ship’s fitness facilities are the same size (actually smaller) than the Whisper and Shadow fitness rooms.

  2. Sheila, you’re very welcome & wonderful advice and absolutely we’re keeping the big picture memories top of mind (Machu Picchu, wonder Mariner ports (e.g., Puerto Chacabuco, Chilean Fjords, Punta Del Este) and most importantly Mariner crew, and wonderful Mariner guests we met and shared meals, drinks, dancing, excursions with. Explains why we are again boarding the Mariner in ten months for the Circumnavigation of Australia.

  4. Good points Karaoke Queen. Tho, am of the belief based on the initial Silver Muse announcement that the maiden voyage will be in the Spring/April 2017. So, I think that the maiden voyage will be before the WC mini muse party. At least (for the points u make above--we were on two segments of Spirit Grand Voyage in Feb/March this year and we indeed, like you intimate above felt at times, we were late to the party.

  5. Thannks for sharing Brian, wonder if this Venetian Inaugural follows the Silver Muse Maiden Voyage from the Fincantieri shipyard (maiden embarkation port my guess will be near Genoa) then sail maybe to Nice--anyway all guesswork at this stage.
