Would someone be willing to post the current slate of officers?
Is this helpful?

Hi Ann,
Having never sailed on HAL before, I have been following your live thread with great interest. (Thank you for sharing your wonderful stories and photos with us!) The food looks incredible, glad to see that my mom and I aren’t the only individuals who enjoy taking pictures of food. 😂
How have you been enjoying the entertainment onboard so far? Have you had a chance to meet either Doug Parker from Cruise Radio or Tony from La Lido Loca? I think Tony mentioned that there are media onboard this cruise.
Hope you have a great day!

I have never purchased a drink package when sailing with Royal Caribbean, but am considering for 7 night Mexican Riviera cruise on Navigator in February 2023. Is $75 USD/day a good price or too high? I am willing to wait for Black Friday, am in no rush.
Thanks!

Another vote for Alaska and the Transatlantic, partially because I've never sailed on either itinerary before.

Really excited that Princess is about to start sailing this summer from the UK! Hoping that someone will have a (live, hopefully) trip report with lots of photos and scans of the Patter 🙂
-
I'm also going to be sailing Princess for the first time, aboard Regal in January, and have a quick question. Prior to the shutdown, what were the onboard shows aboard Regal Princess? I'm still trying to find a 2020 Patter for Regal.
-
I just received my second vaccination dose earlier tonight, so I'm ready to cruise next January 🙂 Thanks for the information, everyone!

We're looking to book a January 2022 Southern Caribbean cruise aboard Regal, and Princess is currently offering 50% reduced deposit plus the OBC. Being a new Princess cruiser (myself, not my travelling companion), is this a good deal or should we wait for the sale in August? (Stupid question, but do you have to pay the remaining 50% of the deposit when you make your final payment?)
TIA!

Big thank you to everyone who took the time to answer my questions!
We have decided to book a Southern Caribbean cruise aboard Regal Princess in early January 2022, and it's looking more likely that it's just going to be my mom and I. In conversation with my mom, it seems as if she is somewhat intrigued to use the technology (the Medallion itself was previewed on her 2019 Royal Princess cruise) so that's positive. -
So, my mom and I (and possibly a friend of my mother's) are looking to book a Princess cruise for next January or February. They have sailed with Princess before (once on Regal, once on Royal), I have not. I have cruised in the past with Royal Caribbean and Disney Cruise Line.
I'm really intrigued by the Ocean Medallion technology, and leaning toward an itinerary on Regal or Sky Princess out of Port Everglades. I, being in my early 40s, am quite comfortable with the technology, and use of smartphones, etc., my mother and friend are in their mid 70s and early 80s are not. They are much more traditional cruisers accustomed to using hard, plastic cruise cards to embark, disembark, unlock their stateroom doors, and purchase onboard charges. If we elect to cruise on one of these ships which utilizes the Ocean Medallion technology, can they opt out and use the standard cruise card? I would love to use the Medallion and app onboard, but I don't think they would feel comfortable doing so.
Just to confirm, the Medallion itself is complimentary, and included with your cruise fare, and then obviously everything else you can use the Medallion to purchase onboard is not (i.e. WiFi package, drinks, etc.)? Also, does Princess only have the one MedallionClass app or do they have another one as well to use? I've been told that passengers use the MedallionClass app specifically to order drinks (is the first drink ordered through that app free of charge as in the past?). -

You're welcome here anytime. Come back and visit again. As a rule it's a nice, helpful bunch on the HAL board.
Thank you, I will try to 🙂 -
Going to have dinner now, but wanted to thank all of the mods and cruising dudes and dudettes for the pictures, info and cheering section today. Thank you for letting me hang out with you guys today!

Yes, it is typically an older crowd. Might be somewhat of a sore point on this board.
Many jokes have been made about the demographic on HAL.
Sorry for bringing this up, not my intention to stir things up. This is my first time perusing your boards (I normally frequent the Royal Caribbean or Disney ones) and was honestly asking.
Thanks for the info, everyone.

Was reading article @cdwise provided and noticed this mention:
Most of the passengers are elderly.
Having never sailed with HAL, is this demographic typical for this cruise line or this specific itinerary? Or both?

It was disgusting and so was this but hoping for a Happy Ending!
Prayers go out to the people on board@
I’m just glad the politicians came to their senses and showed compassion, here’s hoping that the sick people can recover!
RIP to the dead, thoughts and prayers for all of the families.

So grateful that both ships are now home! Welcome back, Rotterdam 😍

I think this is the first time that I've watched a ship sail into a port and actually dock, impressed how carefully the captain can dock the ship when I can't even parallel park my car lol.

What terminal is the Zaandam docking at? I sail with Royal Caribbean and am only familiar with terminals 18 and 29.
-
When is Rotterdam scheduled to dock?
