If you decide to stay in one of the forward facing Haven rooms, let me know. I can tell you all about the bed the 3rd person would be using.

We did the ice bar too. Was really cold, but they gave you warm parkas with hoods and gloves. Problem was sandals on our feet - no way to keep them warm!!

Fun to do once - wouldn't do it again. Drinks are small for the price. But, it was for the novelty of it that we went.

The party is packed!! On the Getaway it was the While Party - now it's the Glow Party. Nothing was provided (meaning paints, glow sticks,etc.). Go to the Dollar Store/Target before you leave and stock up!! My teenage daughters loved the party. We stayed for awhile. Fun music, just loud and crowded!!!!

What room are you in? My mom and brother were in a handicapped room on the 16th floor. Huge room - no problem navigating the wheelchair. Will easily fit the 3 of you.

The only negative was closet space, but many drawers to accommodate non-hanging clothes.

The only change I'd make is to replace La Cuchina with Cagneys or Moderno (if possible - and certainly in my opinion :o - and if you are a meat eater).

La Cuchina was my least favorite restaurant.

If you like salmon, you can request that as a dinner choice at Illusinarium (sp?). My salmon was delicious. The rest in my group of 14 had the main option - steak and shrimp. Majority opinion was their meal was "ok". Enjoy the Magic show!

My girls are keenly interested in snacks they can request in the Haven. Did you partake in the snack offering? If so, what did you ask for? Did you order drinks from the Haven bartender? Any issues with getting drinks (girls can have snacks - for me, bring on the UBP :-) ). Thanks for offering to respond to questions. A week from today will be my turn on the Getaway Haven.

Same thing with my account. Tried the official email route. Waited 8 weeks. Nothing. Called - spoke to a rude woman who said I just had to wait - be patient. Was she kidding?? I was patient for 8 weeks! Called again and spoke to an actual caring human being. She fixed my points on the spot. Crazy!!! Call, but don't take just wait as an answer. Keep trying until you get someone who is willing to help. Good luck!!

Can anyone please describe the sail away activities on the Getaway - specifically in terms of use of streamers/confetti/poppers (all brought into the ship - not supplied by NCL)? This type of fun was ok on our Disney cruise, but not sure on the Getaway.

Less than two weeks until our cruise on the Getaway (Yea and OMG - so much to do!!). Does anyone know the cost of the mid-cruise laundry special? Is this something offered on the Getaway? This will help me figure how much I need to pack. Thank you!

OMG - auto correct. Not all the beef!! All the benefits!!

I booked through a TA. Better prices and I got all the beef its at that time (the options keep changing).

I'm booked in the Haven suites. No issues dealing with NCL on Haven perks.

Lavazza machine coffee in the Haven suites on the Getaway. Are they K cups or flat pods? I watched a YouTube video on the Lavazza in the Haven suites and I couldn't tell what kind of coffee holder was used.

I also read the only coffee options for the Lavazza machines were espresso and decalf. Anyone know if this is true?

So fun to read your review!! Questions for you: I've read varying opinions about what time to get to the pier on embarkation day. You got there around 11:30am. We too are in a Haven suite (:) ). How long were the lines before you got to the Haven lounge/waiting area? My sister doesn't really want to get the port and just sit around and would prefer to get to the port around 11:30, but I'm concerned about long lines. On our cruise, there are not many Haven rooms left. What was the capacity of the Haven suites on your cruise? Thank you!

I booked 5 rooms through a TA - they called NCL to link them all. Never worked. Called NCL directly - they linked all of our rooms. But, still can't see them when I log into my account. I needed to created an account for each room and link their reservation to that account. If I need to see info about one of the other rooms, I need to log on that account on NCL.com.

I'm not sure what NCL linking the rooms did/does. When I made dinner reservations for all of us (14), I made a reservation for 8 people, logged out/into another account to make a reservation for 6 people. Linking the rooms did not help with dinner reservations.

We are also on the 5/30 cruise. Also were able to get reservations about 2 weeks ago. Did you call NCL? They helped us get reservations for a large group on the first night out.

Thank you! Was thinking water shoes might actually cause injury vs. prevent it. Saved me buying water shoes my daughters won't want to wear :-)

I'm getting conflicting information on the free fall slides on the Getaway. The "rules" photos I've seen don't say you need close toed/heel shoes - I don't know how old the photos are. I've also read posts that state close toe/heel shoes are required.

For those of you that have recently travelled on the Getaway, are water shoes required for the free fall slides (or any of the slides)?
