  1. My husband and I keep going round and round about which ship to choose- Celebrity Apex or Norwegian Bliss! Both have itineraries we like and we’ve been on both cruise lines. We understand they are very different!

We are torn between the beautiful elegance of the new Celebrity Apex and the fun, excitement of the Bliss!

We already narrowed down dates and staterooms we like.. but can’t seem to pull the trigger on which ship.

we are younger-ish, pretty laid back, and love to have fun!

We’d love your help! Any advice??

  2. Hi, I've been searching and searching on the boards to find a post that helps with my question but no luck so far! I would appreciate help from this amazing group!

My husband and I are hoping to book one of these cruises today-- on the new Apex, either the eastern Caribbean itinerary that heads to St. Kitts, St. Thomas, and Puerto Rico or the Key West, Mexico, and Grand Cayman itinerary. We've been to PR and St. Thomas and have loved it! But, we also love the idea of heading somewhere new and it helps that the KW, Mexico, and Grand Cayman trip is a few hundred cheaper. Does one stand out as the obvious choice??

We'd love your help deciding! I'd be grateful to get your thoughts on which is the better choice?

A little about us - we are younger-ish, laid back, we love to explore and we love the sun. We're up for anything! Help! :)

  3. I have only cruised once with Celebrity (which we LOVED), so I'm still a newbie when it comes to all things Celebrity, so maybe this is typical, but I've been looking at cruises for early 2021 and it seems as though the Apex is cheaper than the Edge for the eastern and western Caribbean itineraries. Is it normal for a newer ship to be more affordable? Just trying to understand and thought I would get your thoughts!

    Thanks!

  4. Hi! I’ve been reading and reading and reading about each ship and we are still left a little undecided about which to choose! We love fun and the sun and we are pretty laid back! Does anyone have a strong opinion on these three ships and which would be the best option? Similar pricing and similar itineraries. I’d love to hear your thoughts! Thank you so much!

  5. Hi guys!

Hoping someone can help me out with this question! I've done quite a few searches and haven't quite figured it out.

My husband and I will be on the Solstice in a couple weeks going from Vancouver to Hawaii. I am wondering how self disembarkation works- my husband and I love the idea of not having to have our bags out the night before. Actually, I love the idea! Too hard for me to try and pack my clothes and toiletries and not forget anything I need! What can I say.. I need options in the morning! :) We do not have an early flight so we don't want/need to be the first to leave, so I am just wondering is it possible to self disembark at a normal hour (not the first to leave)? I completely understand we have to haul our bags ourselves, that's no problem at all! I am mainly asking how the process works? I have found a lot of information on self disembarking if you have a very early flight, but what if just want to leave the ship at 8 or 9, but carry our own belongings off?

Hopefully that question makes sense! Any feedback would be great. Thank you!

  6. Have any of you been on the Molokini snorkel tour in Maui with Alii Nui?

My husband and I will be on the Celebrity Solstice at the end of September and will be in Maui for two days and are looking at this tour for the second day we are docked in Maui. This snorkel trip leaves from the Maalaea Harbor, but the company offers free transportation to and from the Lahaina harbor. Sounds like it would work well!

We have looked at many other snorkel companies and they don't have the transportation perk or they don't offer the type of snorkel we are looking for the one day we can go.

    Love to hear thoughts!

    Thank you!

  7. I've looked over the boards over and over again I just need help deciding! My husband and I are going on the Celebrity Solstice to Hawaii in September and we'd love to go snorkeling once.... where should we do it? Kona? Hilo? Maui? Oahu?

I know it comes down to a matter of preference and opinion, but advice would be great!

  8. Hi guys! Another quick question about the Trilogy snorkeling excursion... so based on my research, the Trilogy boat leaves at a different dock/location than where the ship will be. Sounds like a 20 min cab ride.

Will it be difficult to find a cab from the Lahaina dock to the doc where the Trilogy boat leaves from that early in the morning?

Sorry if this is a silly question!

  9. Newbie question.. my husband and I will be on the Celebrity Solstice at the end of September and will be docked in Lahaina for two days. We'd love to do a snorkeling excursion with Trilogy Excursions, not through the cruise ship. Is this possible to do the second day we're docked in Lahaina? Do the tenders only run at certain times? Wondering if we are able to make a tour from 7:30-1.

Sorry if this is a silly question, just wasn't sure how it works.

    Thank you!

  10. This may be a silly question and if it is I apologize in advance! My husband and I will be staying in Vancouver one night before a Hawaiian cruise and I was wondering if we can use our regular credit cards at the hotel and restaurants? Or do we need to get Canadian currency for the day?

    Thank you!

  11. Hello!

I have searched for the answer to this question on the Celebrity website and the forums but I am still a bit confused. Hopefully someone can help!

My husband and I will be on the Celebrity Solstice in September and it's our first cruise on Celebrity (we're so excited!) and we were wondering how the casino works. We don't gamble much at all, just a few bucks here and there. With other cruises we just have a credit card on file with our SeaPass card and swipe that in the casino to gamble. Is that how it works on Celebrity? Or do you have to use cash or tokens in the machines?

Just trying to understand! Sorry if that is a silly question.

    Thank you!

  12. We are doing a Hawaiian cruise on the Celebrity Solstice for our first time to Hawaii and love the idea of sampling the islands! We understand we won't have a ton of time at each island but that just means we may have to go back! [emoji6] Fine by me! Can't wait for the cruise!

  13. My husband and I just booked the Celebrity Solstice for next fall for our 10 year wedding anniversary, which is a 10 day cruise to Hawaii! We are so excited and based on all the research and reviews I read this will be great cruise! We both have never been to Hawaii and love the idea of getting to explore a little on a few islands! Best way to see a few islands very affordably!

Look into the Solstice! 10 day cruise from Vancouver. A handful of sea days plus almost a handful of port days! Sounds like a dream vacation to us! :)
