    I am a big fan of our Facebook page. I grew up in St. Joe and my family still lives there. You do very nice work. Curious about your Alaskan cruise? Did you enjoy it? Would you go again? Did you feel a bit let down sailing from Seattle vs Vancouver? We are looking at 2016 and a lot of people on this board have sailed Alaska over and over again, looking for a first timers opinion!

     

    We would absolutely do it again. It was incredible

    Coming from a landscape photographer who has traveled a fare share nothing I have seen would compare to Alaska.

    About sailing out of Seattle I liked it. We spent a couple days after the cruise rented a car and drove up the coast.

    Stunning! I've followed your FB page for a while now as I lived most my life in Stevensville/Baroda/St Joe :D While we are retired to FL now - St Joe is still "home" and the entire family is still there. We'll be up for a visit in 2 weeks - just in time for the Berrien Co. Youth Fair. Just wanted to say that I'm a big fan of yours!!!! We'll be on a 16 night Alaskan adventure of our own next May - your photos get me very excited.

    2015 Trip Report

    Just got back from a cruise to Alaska (Crown Princess) (Absolutely incredible) Our stops were Juneau, Skagway, Tracy Arm Fjord, Ketchikan and Victoria, BC. Round trip out of Seattle.

    I will be posting photos from my trip on my Facebook page starting today (Just got back home last night) and have so many will probably continue posting them for the next month.

    Just got back from a cruise to Alaska on the Crown Princess (Absolutely incredible) Our stops were Juneau, Skagway, Tracy Arm Fjord, Ketchikan and Victoria, BC. Round trip out of Seattle.

    Ketchikan Shore Excursion Qs

    When is your cruise? They book up pretty quickly so I would reserve

    as soon as you are able:)

     

    Yea I have been talking with the guy at Mountain Air Service. They do the 2 hour floatplane tour over the Fjord with a landing he has a 8am spot open for the day we are there so I think we are gonna jump on that.

    I love Ketchikan:D...been to Alaska 3 previous times and I am going

    again in May:D..I would suggest www.islandwings.com and a

    Floatplane Tour to the Misty Fjords.....one of the best excursions I have ever done and

    I am going again in May:). It is simply FANTASTIC...........:)

     

    Oh..the last time I was there was 2009 so it has been a few years and I so excited:):)

     

    Floatplane tour looks pretty incredible and with our short time there i think this may be out best bet to get the most out of our stay in Ketchikan. Thank You!

    Ketchikan Shore Excursion Qs

    Our ship stops in Ketchikan but we are only there from 0600-1230.

    As this is our 1st time ever in Alaska we want to see the best of what each stop has to offer.

    With such a short time in Ketchikan what excursions would you guys recommend for us to look into?

    Skagway - Yukon Discovery vs Railroad

    Ok so this coming summer will be our 1st ever trip to Alaska. I have been looking all around planning excursions and stuff but we are really torn on what to do on our day in Skagway.

     

    I am a photographer so I would like the best photo ops and we can't decide on weather to do the White Pass Railroad or do the Yukon Discovery excursion where you drive out to the Yukon/Emerald lake.

     

    Any advice would help!

    Mendenhall Glacier Question

    Looking into booking a Whale Watching/ Mendenhall Glacier excursion when we are in Juneau my question is when i search mendenhall glacier i keep seeing photos of these incredible ice caves, will we get to walk in those on the regular tour or do you have to take a special tour to see those.

    Ok we are booking a July cruise on the Princess to Alaska. It goes out of Seattle then to Juneau, Skagway, Tracy Arm Fjord then Ketchikan. We are getting a standard balcony room and my question is for the best views from our room should we get a room on the Port or Starboard side of the ship?
