I can confirm that room service is available & mostly free for breakfast in a premium cabin, there is charge after breakfast for some items.

Thanks. I booked an inside but was given a balcony so I am quite surprised as I thought they'd usually just upgrade you 1 level up.

I cannot remember the social package. Maybe we have never used it. Can anyone help? I also had a look at MyCosta and I could not see anything like that either. Just this personalised package they want to flog. Mine has Pizza and Spa on :eek:.

Can't see that they will stop you. " No you've eaten you can't have anymore", sounds a little like Oliver. Please sir..... They might have a grill station on the buffet deck where they will do omelettes. They did on just about every cruise we've been on this year.

Print everything (invoice, booking confirmation, any communication with Costa and your TA) and take it with you - just in case.

 

If I were you I would have a word with TA about not telling you about Costa web checkin.

2. The open times of MDR, buffet and grill will be stated in the daily program, rough idea of opening times:

Breakfast MDR 08:00 - 09:30

Breakfast buffet: 06:30 - 07:30 early risers

07:30 - 10:00 normal breakfast

10:00 - 11.00 late risers

Lunch MDR 12:00 - 13:30

Lunch buffet: 12:00 - 14:30

High Tea: 16:00 - 17:00

Dinner MDR: two sittings 18:00 and 20:30

Dinner buffet: 18:00 - 21:00

Pool Grill 1200 - 20:00

Pizzeria: Don't know if Victoria has one or if it is free or chargeable.

 

 

3. Several years ago the food on Costa took a dive for the worst, but opver the last couple of years it has improved vastly.

 

I have aquestion for you. On the MSC forum, they often comment on the fact that All Inclusive Drinks Packages are not availale on SA cruises (including repo), the reason being South Africans used to drink the ships dry. True.;p

If I enter the buffet for breakfast and then find the food unacceptable, will I still be able to go to the mdr where I can get eggs and bacon?

I did not see the social package available on the mycosta website.

Does anyone know if it is still around? Sailing on the diadema next week.

Thanks. TA asked me to do a web check in on the my Costa website and then wait 2-3 days for the tickets.

Wonder if they will let me know which cabin I've been assigned as I've gotten a guaranteed cabin.

Thank you for sharing. I am due to travel on 1st Dec on my first cruise from rome and am looking forward to it.

Getting a quite a but nervous as my TA hasn't issued the tickets though.

Is this package available to purchase when I am on board?

Or do I have to buy it online only.
