Who do you have doing your hair and makeup? I'm still trying to find someone.

I am getting married on Freedom on October 10th and getting my hair and make up done at the salon in the Galvez Hotel. They are opening up early for me so I am done with plenty of time to be at the port by 9:30.

I'm getting married in a week. Eek! Cruise leaves two weeks from today. How did something that was so many months away get here ? :) :) [emoji178][emoji178]

Yea, out of Galveston. Also, if you want the disco club, it's only guaranteed if you are the first to book the DJ.

I hav already booked the DJ and I tried to book a tour but all the dates they have available Im scheduled to work and Im trying to save all my vacation days for the wedding and honeymoon! So I am kind of upset about that. I am going to keep checking in to see if any new dates come up! I wish it was October already! I will be dress shopping the first week of June!!!

Have you done a ship tour yet? It's completely free (for the first tour) and they will take you around the ship and show you all the different venues, so you can get a good idea on where you might want some pics.

Wooftah I am getting to the home stretch. (Can you believe I started this thread a year ago?! Where has the time gone? Well I get married a week from today and we leave in 3 days so I'm pretty darn excited.

 

I'm glad to hear everyone's plans are coming along! For me, its just final packing and we leave. Random question:

Did you ladies stay in your dresses or are you planning to all day and night?

Yayyyy I'm excited for you! Good luck! I hope its a stress free day for you! As far as wearing the dress, I plan on buying a white tank top with "Bride" on it and keeping my hair up and make up done and wearing my veil! I can't wait!

Since not all of the doors are magnetic be sure to bring some blue poster putty to hang your magnet. That is how we did ours.

There are actually a total of 4 menus. You can pick and choose and mix and match, the only criteria is that you get 6 hot and 5 cold or 5 hot and 6 cold. I know that doesn't answer you question but it does give you more options.

I will be getting married on Freedom out of galveston, tx October 10th, 2015. I was wondering if you had any suggestions on places to take pictures around the ship. And do you have any suggestions about having the reception in the disco club?

Is anyone decorating their door on the cruise?!

As of right now all I will be doing is getting a "just married" car magnet to put on the door. I heard its really good to put something on your door as a identifier since they all look the same!

I have a question. Does everyone have to be there at 9:30 IN the morning or are they just trying to be cautious. I just feel like that is so early for everyone attending the wedding to be there dressed and ready. What will they be doing that whole time waiting? :confused:

From everything that I have heard, the waiting isn't bad. The guests are able to eat at the buffet and walk around the ship. I will be there earlier than that to hopefully get on first so I can get dressed and be able to take pictures before the wedding so I'm not sweaty from the reception fun. Hopefully we have enough time to go around the ship taking pictures. Also less people on the ship will make it easier!

I'm getting married on Carnival Freedom October 10, 2015 out of galveston as well! I'm so excited and so nervous about everything running smoothly! Are you staying at any hotels the night before? We are staying at the Tremont House. It's the closest hotel to the pier to the ports. I also saw someone ask about hair and make up for the wedding day in galveston and I am getting mine done at the galvez at 7 in the morning. They charge extra to open early but I'm thinking it will be totally worth it!
