Hello everyone,have another cruise on the go, 18th Sept 2018. On P&O EDEN Sydney to South Pacific. Love this area. This trip though is mainly to catch up with my daughter and 2 little grandies,whome i havdnt seen for well over 12 months. We will have a fab time i hope :)

By the sounds of it we should have a good time on Pacific Eden,my daughter and I are taking the children 6 & 9 to the Pacific Islands during Sept school hols,the children are very excited,one has sailed before but he was 8 months old then . So good to be back on Cruise Critic too !

Daughter and son in law are going on VOS syd to cairns return ,it says on the online cruise docs she needs passport info, is this correct as i was led to believe you didnt need them for this one,she has expired ones, any help would be apreciated,before we ring up tomorrow

Just got back,we had mini suite B 309 was great,very quiet,sea was calm all the way up and back,last day before Brisbane was rolling a bit,few felt a bit off ! We were about 5 cabins from front

Just got off,yes there is a show at 10pm,we also had comedian Ivor Richards doing a show at the Vista lounge at same time,then later in week another 2 guys who also sang and were very funny,so much all going on,you cant decide what too see,also kareoke was on but never got to it

Just got off Sun Princess yesterday,had mini suite,was surprised there were no robes supplied,so asked Steward and he brought 2 but they were so small and sad looking. :eek:,was very surprised theydid not have nice ones in the suites,they did on Royal

Missed seeing it, l got off Sun yesterday morning,but we were off by 9 and away ,had a great week

Will let you know after next week,we go on Sun Princess from Brisbane,be back 6th Sept:D

A travel agent should be able to book a guarantee if they booked at the same time? Or did they book at another time? Or is it different with Princess?

 

With Royal Caribbean we can usually see the same gty prices on an online aussie TA as what can be seen on the direct website. Sometimes you need to be quick though. Some online TAs will get back to you with confirmation in 24 hrs. That is when I like to book direct and lock it in :)

The others in the group all went to the TA and booked straight mini suites,i being me:D wanted to deal direct with Princess and i booked a Guarentee Mini Suite,as i felt there really arent any bad ones,and didnt mind where it was,saved heaps

Just got our suite allocation,no upgrade but still think a good price going guarantee,friends booked 6 cabins from me and paid $800 more,i went direct and they went through travel agent. I think for the amount saved i can walk the extra 6 cabins length:)

Yes i did go for kingsford smith drive,chose the Kingsford smith motel

Not sure of whats the latest,the one i have for several years and has been to most of the islands and parasailing is a canon powershot D10,its easy to use and is indestructable! I am very rough withit,it gets chucked everywhere

Need a room for overnight before we drop car at Portside Parking ,i like the look and price of Windsor International in Lutwyche rd . Is this to location to far or traffic bad :confused:

I always stay at Meriton World Tower they have 3 bedroom appts,look for specials or ring them,get taxi outside to ship

Joined 2005,just booked a cruise and looked up the ship we were going on,story mentioned Cruise Critic so looked at that and the first entry on there was someone going on our cruise and wanting to meet up. No roll call then,i was so excited i tried to reply but found you had to join and get a user name etc. :eek: i couldnt think of anything witty so thats how i ended up with my moniker Past it ! As i was telling the young fellow who wanted to meet up for a drink that i was much older and not the disco type lol

Brisbane up the coast of Queensland to Cairns then back to Brisbane just 8 days. I will have only got my sea legs by then. Never been on such a short one. I envy yours ,enjoy it

The time will pass,we booked a year ago and its nearly here,you will have a fab time i am sure You will have lots to study up on,Australia is very diverse enjoy, i will post a review of my tiny trip on her in sept when i get back
