  1. Having got off the Magic a couple weeks ago I can tell you there IS in fact a weight limit.. How ever it is not posted at the bottom, Noooo they make you walk up 5 flights of stairs just to look you over and say "sorry sir, 300 pound limit" I how ever insisted that after walking up them stairs there was only one way I was going back down, so they gave me a one time ( i look over there and you jump in) pass.

  2. Hey guys, we are a large family of 7 and will be leaving on the carnival magic

march 4th for 7 days of fun, However i am finding it difficult to navigate

through the barrage of claims and false promises of only booking sites

to secure a good deal on a 2 night stay and cruise shuttle for my family and I.

Any veteran port canaveral cruisers have a preferred place to stay a night or 2 before your cruise where the shuttle actually picks you up at the hotel and gets you to the ship in a timely manor?

On the beach would be nice but not a must if it saves us a hundred bucks.

  3. Question for you veteran cruisers, Im taking my whole fam (wife, 3 kids age 9,6 and 1, and my Parents on a 7 night cruise on the carnival Magic leaving port Canaveral and visiting Cozumel Mexico, Belize ,Mahogany Bay Roatan and Costa Maya Mexico with 2 at sea days.

I realize that the at sea days are going to be crazy on the pool deck and slides and am thinking if i want to give the kids the best chance of getting all they want one the water slides we will need to hit them when the bulk of the ship is off exploring a port.

But which one to skip is the question, so to all who have visited those ports, which one did you enjoy the LEAST and would recommend using as the skip day?

    Thanks for any answers,

    Tommy

  4. LOL, I know this question is brought up a lot here but I have a very specific concern I need put to rest.

I have just booked my whole family (my self, wife, 3 kids and my parents) on the carnival Magic leaving port canaveral traveling to Mexico, Rotan, Beliz then back to port canaveral.

While all adults DO have passports my kids age 9,6 and 1 do not, Yes I have read and even called carnival and was told all the kids would need is a birth certificate, BUT my real question is...

For those of you who took their children on cruises with only a birth certificate, was there any issues AT ALL when trying to get back to the ship at the ports of call?

I am not worried about getting back through customs in the US, what I'm worried about is taking my kids to shore in Mexico, or Belize or some place and having issue getting back in.. I take it we would need to carry their birth certificate with us at each port of call?

Thanks for your patents, Its just a concern of mine as if they ned passports I only have 2 months to get them.

  5. Hey guys, My wife and I will be flying into orlando on the 8th and renting a car to get to port canaveral for our cruise that heaves on the 9th. We are wondering if we can get some recommendations for hotels close to the port for the night before/after our cruise. I know there is Ron jon resort now known as holiday inn beach resort with we stayed at last month for a vacation about a mile from the port but we are look to spend less than $150 per night and they are over $250.

    thanks

  6. Hey, I made a post a few weeks ago about possibly taking my wife on our first cruise, well its confirmed and were looking to sail some time the second half of Feb..

We are closing in on our 10th anniversary and never had a honeymoon so I want to make this the honeymoon we never had (on a budget of corse) lol.. Any way we are open to sailing out of any port in florida and heading to the western caribbean (Mexico, caiman islands, and possibly Jamaica) and wanting a fairly large ship due to it having more things to do (shopping for her).

But we are struggling on which cruise line/ship to go with, All we know is we thing we'd like a balcony.. Any suggestions would be welcomed with open arms..

P.S she wont be drinking any alcohol die to expecting our 3rd, But I plan to have several mixed drinks a day witch I know can add up, so maybe a line that had a unlimited beverage deal would be nice BUT NOT NECESSARY.

  7. Hey guys and gals..

My wife and I have never been on a cruise before or on a vacation without our 4 and 7 year on at all, so I was planing a cruise for our 10 year anniversary for just the 2 of us.

Well yesterday the news got sprang on us that we are expecting out 3rd child so now I'm in a rush to do this cruise thing before she gets to far along.. Im talking soon, like int he next month..

So I have a couple questions Im hoping you all could help me with.

    1. do we HAVE to have our passports to take a Caribbean cruise to the Bahamas and get off and enjoy an excursion?

    2. Is there a place where we can search for deals for last minute cruises where they are trying to fill the rooms at a discount?

    3. I assume meals and water is included with the cruise with alcohol and specialty restaurants costing extra right? so should we bring cash for this or will it be added to what ever CC we use to pay for the cruise?

If there is anything else you can think to add PLEASE feel free to fill us in, I just want to give her a nice little vacation without tugging around the kids and this is our last chance for several years to come.

    Thank you.
