And how much more did that NCL sailing cost you for a comparable RCC sailing? Bet it was at least $300-500 more with their "all inclusive included" pricing.

Actually the ncl was much less than royal.  Ncl was a 5 night for $499 plus $100 for tip on free drink.  Royal was 7 nights for $1250 no drink package. Both balcony

  2. I just came back from a Ncl cruise and for “$100”

tip charge you  got beverage package.  It was wonderful.  I’m not a big drinker so $65 a day is too much for me.  Sure going to miss the all inclusive feel on my  RCC.  I’m sure they can do better. The extra are killing me. Lol.  Now I see why I stopped cruising for awhile  and all inclusive resorts still rule

  3. I just tryed to book a balcony on a Costa cruise after spending a while talking my DH into seeing that the $600 difference would be worth it. Of course when we call the two cabins that offer handicap balconys where already booked. So its back to an inside cabin. I just hope the two people who booked these cabins are really handicap. Our cruise is only 6 months away so they could be.

We just got off a RCCI cruise and we had to change rooms with another couple becasue at the last mintue my daughter wanted to come with. We where very lucky. We need a triple and only had a double. I did see all handicap people using the HC cabins around us. At least that did make me feel better that they where being used by the right people.

  4. The "Special Perks" remark was most people think the disabled get all kinds of perk but they don't. That's all. Do I deserve special perks, yes thanks, I would like a door wide enough to go through, I would like to be able to open a door with out it closing on me before I get through it, I would like to be able to get on an elevater without waiting 10 minutes while others rush in ahead of me. I'd like to be able to put the ramp to my van down so i can get out without someone parking next to me. I'd like to be able to get off at a port and not have to stay on the ship. I'd like to be able to take transportion and see the sights like everyone one else. I would like not to have to pay twice what everyone else pays for the little transportion i can find. Perks no I would just like to be able to take a vacation like everyone else and be able to enjoy it like everyone else.

I also am not directing this post to people who do not know they are booking a handicap room but those who DO know and do it anyway. Just like the people who use Grandma handicap plaque to get parking spaces.

Believe me you would not like to ride in someone who 'lives' (i like that term) a wheelchair shoes for one day.
