  1. Okay. I'll be the voice of dissent. If I were you, I'd make arrangements for your wife's spa treatments at home prior to her cruise at the spa she likes to frequent at home. IMO, she will have a better spa experience at a better price prior to leaving for her cruise, and it will help her feel refreshed and ready for her cruise. A massage and mani/pedi would be great. I say that because Carnival's spas spend too much of the arranged time on marketing their products which detracts from the spa experience.

    Just my humble opinion.

How thoughtful of you to want to treat your wife! She's a lucky girl. :-) Have a great cruise!

Hadn’t thought of that. That’s a good idea. More options to consider.

  2. Letting the wife pick what she wants is always a good idea, whether it's a spa treatment, restaurant to go to, entertainment venue, type of furniture for the house, color of paint at home, etc. etc. etc.

But if she has mentioned a preference, sometimes there are pre-sale discounts that equal the port day offers. If so, the presale discount can get you a sea day appointment time.

Well said. We have been married for for 25 years so I’ve learned. Lol. But I’m also an anal planner.

  3. will be on the dream this spring. Looking to get my wife a spa treatment of some sort for her birthday. My question is should I pre book now or wait until we get on the ship? I don’t want to get her cruise cash and wait until we get there only to find it’s hard to book because so many others did it before arrival. Anyone have experience or knowledge that would help?

  4. thank you for the responses. I didn't intend to start a discussion on the morals of it. We are just looking at vacation options. My daughter is 17 and will be 1 week removed from being 18 like most of her friends will be. For something like the comedy club or other areas that say 18+ was my main concern. And many places we travel (Florida) for example) will allow kids in the bars but they obviously cant drink alcohol. Just trying to get a feeling of how strict they might be.

I appreciate the response and sounds like should have a problem.

  5. So looking to book the Carnival Dream for Spring break. This would be a small group of adults with their graduating kids. Some of the kids are 18 and some will still be 17. I am curious as to how strict they will be on allowing the 17 year olds into the club that says 18+, and how strict they will be in allowing them into the bar (21+) not to drink but just to hang with the adults and enjoy the music and dancing.

anyone have any experience with this?

    thanks in advance

    Bill
