  1. I posted about something similar a few days ago. Same set-up - Super Family Plus cabin, priced and paid as one, then changed later to be billed separately. They only tried to add $500 to ours - I can understand the panic at having a cruise double in price!

I fervently hope and pray ours is fixed and remains fixed. I'm leery of adding the dinner package before boarding now. Good luck!

  2. Hello:

We booked the super family plus cabin, comprising three rooms - two balconies and an interior. It was priced as one room and we paid in full, along with gratuities and premium packages. All seemed fine until today when we got multiple requests for another almost $500, with a warning that our cruise could be cancelled. I called customer service, and spoke with a very nice and helpful agent for quite some time. She brought her supervisor in. They agreed that we were paid in full. Their system had somehow billed the three rooms separately and added the extra charges. Confirmed we were paid in full. Again, very pleasant conversation.

The automated booking confirmation sent after our call again has the rooms booked separately and the ~$500 balance. Is this going to cause trouble with our boarding process? Anyone else have this experience?

  3. Hello:

We have sailed on Norwegian a few times as a family - my husband and I, and our five children, 12 and under. We booked the Haven, and appreciated the service, and the privacy, and the pool where people weren't deciding to get nekkid and loaded.

We are looking at a 4 day Bahamas cruise on Holland. Children are well-behaved. They liked the kids' club on NCL, though, and enjoy splashing and playing in areas where appropriate. We can't get a suite; they're sold out. Only two connecting veranda rooms will work (and they connect only via balcony - yikes!).

Any thoughts or advice for me?

  4. Plenty of kids in the Haven on our cruise, and I never witnessed any bad behavior there - either from the children or the childless adults, though I spoke to my children a few times about toning down the splashing in such a small space.

While we are not "cruisers", this was a fun family vacation for us. And we booked the Haven, because the crowds are a bit overwhelming, and I don't really like to send family members off to "programs" so we can be off entertaining ourselves.

The child-free Haven guests were lovely and gracious, and if they didn't like children, they surely didn't show it. We, in turn, kept our children from being obnoxious, and returned to our room if we were not able to stop an incipient tantrum. Perhaps it's been different on other weeks.
