  1. On our 75 day cruise on the Golden last year a lot of people were booked on traditional dining time ie early or late. Many however turned up for anytime dining if the fixed time didn't suit. So doing that gives you the best of both worlds.

  2. We have elite status and qualify for priority boarding.

We are taking my father with us on our next cruise - it will be his first cruise. He is in his own cabin.

Would we al be able to get priority boarding? When we made the booking - the princess agent "linked" the bookings so princess would be aware we are all together (if that makes any difference).

    Thanks

If you check in together as a group you will all be able to go through together using priority boarding.

  3. We did the Yukon experience

Travelled into Canada by coach. Stopping off at a few stops for photo's and a bbq lunch near the half way point of the excursion. We also had a sled dog ride and visted a museum with the best taxidermy I have seen.

On the way back we stopped at the border and picked up the train back to town. Fantastic day out with a different commentary and views between the coach and train.

  4. The requirement to carry a passport on excursions varies for each country and port. Some require full face to face passport inspections. Some require you carry a document provided by the ship. Almost everywhere requires some form of government photo ID.

In addition some require an entry visa to be stamped in your passport.

The only way to know for sure is to follow the ships advice for each port and excursion.

  5. :rolleyes::rolleyes:

We haven’t cruised with Princess since 2002! And only4 cruises under our belt, but 3 booked! Didn’t know they had happy hour. Is it posted and at all bars, or just select? Will look for it!

There are two happy hours each day. One in the afternoon and one about 10pm. Usually in one bar only

  6. Trish,

Thanks for offering to answer queries.

Are there any / many padded chairs outside on the promenade deck, or is it just hard bench seats ?

Is the early happy hour working OK ?

Have you heard of much wait time for anytime dining around 6pm ?

    Thanks.

If you wanted a table for two there was a short wait most days or they phoned the other restaurants to see if they had a table free. If you were willing to share you were seated most of the time without delay.
