Is purchasing travel insurance from the cruise line the way to go? Or is there a better way? Thank you

I would like some information on if your booked a cruise and flights through the cruise line and there is a weather delay on the flights getting you to the cruise port is the cruise line responsible. Should I have travel insurance for this? I have been on many many cruises and have never had travelers insurance but this is the first time I got flights through the cruise line.
