I tried a date in 2025, not letting me apply DP340 solo discount. Actually barely any of the usual discounts will apply. 😞 These all seem pretty high for short sailings. I'm going to sleep and will think about it.
The first few months of sailings on a brand new ship will be - they do start to go down after the first month or two.. I just checked too and it looks like no C&A discounts of any kind are available on the Inaugural at least... Someone has also already swooped up the Ultimate Family Suite for that sailing and it looks like only one Solarium Suite is still available

It doesn't seem 'fully baked' yet. No neighborhood balconies, etc. And I've looked at a lot of random dates.
They are at the very least all in CruisingPower, even the Solarium Suite was available for the 7/22 sailing

Was that for a 3 or 4 night sailing? Thanks
That was for what looks like the Inaugural, which will be a 4 Night

Can the average person book, or do you need to be an Agent? Not seeing the ability to book on Royal’s site yet
Looks like if you log into the website with your C&A number you can see them - If you do not have a C&A account it will still say they are unavailable
-
Interestingly, the further into the year I look, the pricing drops quite a bit - in August and September sailings start as low as $422 per person for an Interior...
-
Looks like interiors are starting around $1k and the 7/22 sailing is definitely more expensive than the rest - I think its a safe bet that will be our Inaugural

So I just logged into CruisingPower and sailings have been loaded! The first available date is 7/22 - nabbed my 4D for about $3400 after port taxes/gratuities... Here we goooooo!!!

I’m a little curious about this too.. We are going on Anthem out of Cape Liberty in November, same itinerary - we were looking at taking the Orlando day to visit Universal, but Royal is a bit unclear about how the shuttle service works.. My Royal Cruise is also not showing any Orlando excursions yet, which I’d expect to change the closer we get… Definitely curious to see what kind of feedback others can share on this one!

I was scheduled for a 1:30 boarding time, got to the port around 11:15 and walked right on the ship - never even had to say “oops”… I have heard this is a pretty common Port Everglades thing though..
-
I had the same issue when I was looking at the Cruise Planner / app - nothing was available to book, but once I was on the ship I was able to get in to any of the specialty restaurants I wanted to - I did Mason Jar, Izumi (sushi, not hibachi), Giovanni’s and 150 Central Park… Another thing about the Mason Jar, if you do have trouble getting in for brunch or dinner, they offer a-la-carte selections from the menu at the bar area later in the evening. Not a bad way to try out the food if you can’t get in during a meal time, or don’t want to commit to the cover charge. Giovanni’s wine bar also does something similar.

Bobby Brown retired after bringing out Odyseey, no?
Bobby Brown was actually on Wonder last week - Mike said he was functioning in an “auxiliary capacity” as the behind the scenes guy and that they always have two CDs on the first takeout of a new ship - actually saw him wandering around the ship quite a bit and had to do a double take the first few times I saw him.

I was on Wonder for the inaugural and had this problem also… The only workaround I found was to do a FaceTime audio call, which seemed to work ok - as long as I was talking to someone that also had an iPhone.. There were a few times when they also had general signal issues with the internet connection during the sailing (one I remember in particular was just after we left Labadee). One thing that is important to remember is the ship is still brand new - there are bound to be things that don’t quite work as expected just yet.. Give it some time and the issues will be resolved - it seemed like half the doors weren’t working on the ship too, but hey, just some growing pains!
…Ironically the Bionic Bar seemed to be working every time I walked past it!

Brought mine and Guest Service re programmed the band. Did this on Harmony in November. By coincident it was the same Muster station we were assigned. I don't think Guest Services even noticed. I would go ahead and bring it along. You could get some kind of sticker and put over Muster Station number.
Awesome! I was hoping that would be the case… And a sticker is a good idea!

Hey All - Since it seems Royal has paused (or stopped) offering Wow Bands onboard, for those of you who brought them from previous sailings and had them successfully reprogrammed - did they give you any trouble with the Muster Station being printed on the side of the band?
I know some did not have this, but the only one I have left is an Anthem band with my D3 station printed on it. Was hoping to bring it along on a future sailing, but wasn’t sure if I’d have to find some clever way of removing that first. Thank ya!

Haven’t been on a Radiance Class since the restart, but I can tell you the Freedom sailing I’m about to get off of in the next few minutes (1/28 sailing) was 2330
…from the feedback I’ve got from crew around the ship, they are still not going above 50%, that they know of anyway…
have a great cruise!

I’ve had traveling companions in the past with gluten sensitivity - Generally, you wait staff will ask (at MDR and Specialty venues) if there are any allergies they need to be aware of and are very conscious of not cross-contaminating. When you are in the MDR, you will be provided the GF menu for the following day’s dinner the evening before and make your selection then. Generally all of the venues are very friendly toward gluten allergies, so you should have no problem! Generally even the Windjammer has a plentiful gluten-free selection.

They should re-use some of the great names from the past, like Sovereign OTS, Splendor OTS, Legend OTS, or Majesty OTS. In my opinion, all of these names are better than any of the names on the new list.
Interestingly enough, the list of names that Royal just trademarked a few weeks ago actually had “Splendor of the Seas” on it - though the spelling is different than the original Vision Class ship (that one was “Splendour” - the modern British spelling of the word)
My personal favorite was Aria of the Seas, but I suppose Melody fits nicely as well - It was looking for so long like that was what we were going to be calling Wonder that I think I’m used to hearing it…

A little while back Royal introduced this to give more flexibility to guests with close-in departure dates to help curb cancellations, I wanna say they initially launched it around the time that the delta surge happened. They did it fairly quietly, but it was something that was rolled out and extended a few times. I’d love it if they would push it back one more month so I can pay off Wonder a little later!
-
When I was on Freedom two-ish weeks ago my only option at booking was traditional - I had selected the 5:30PM option, but once onboard and after the muster activities had quelled, I was able to go to the MDR and change over to My Time - not sure if it will be that way on your sailing, but they gave me no trouble - could have also had something to do with the low passenger numbers on the ship at the time.
-
No email for me yet, but I checked my 1/28/22 on Freedom and FPD got moved to 12/29/21
-
Right?! It is listed (after I booked) as a 7 night Eastern Caribbean sailing - I would expect to see CocoCay in there somewhere, but no details other than that right now...

Mind sharing what pricing was like? Currently have oasis booked but would consider switching. Since it's not on royals site yet.
Not at all! I'm going solo in a 4V and after taxes and fees I'm at $1773.47 (no gratuities included) - I believe the p/p rate for a double was around $891 before taxes and fees
