  1. A friend on your sailing described the adult areas as being overcrowded. Did you find that to be the case? I'm especially interested in areas where I hope to be able to chill out indoors, like Cove Cafe.

it really varied depending on what was going on. There were times where we were among the only people out there and then there were other times where it was packed. For instance, on our first day (Thursday) it was perfect. But on Sunday right before the boat left Castaway Cay it was insane out there. I spent a lot of time laying out on the concierge sun deck.

  2. I just got off the Dream and traveled with my best friend. We are two 29 year old males and I had the same concerns as you prior to going on the cruise. Luckily there are adult areas on the ship where children aren't allowed.

Obviously, you can't completely avoid them but you can take measures to minimize the interaction with them. There's an adult pool deck with hot tubs, lounge chairs, and a bar. We decided to upgrade to concierge and I think that helped alleviate some of the interaction with the kids. If you can afford to spring for it, I'd suggest doing that. The service we experienced on board and from the concierge team was top notch.

The only time I found the kids too be too much to handle was the first day for lunch in Cabanas and pretty much all the time around the main pools on deck 11. Other than those areas, they didn't bother me.

At night, there's a whole adult district with a variety of shows, bars, clubs, etc. There's also mixology classes offered every day. The gym is a good retreat too.

  3. I just got off the Dream yesterday and was staying concierge. We did the priority disembarkation which was amazing. We met in the lounge around 7 and then once the boat was cleared by authorities one of the hosts took as down in groups. They walked us to the gangway and passed us off to their manager who then took us to customs where no one was in line.

  4. I will be there in May. The 14-18? We just had cabanas open last week, 19&20. They were there for a couple of days. Anyway, we are concierge and booked at 120 days and all cabanas were sold out at midnight on day 120 except for those two that popped up last week.

    There is no 13.

Concierge told me that 17 is kept for weddings when I booked a few weeks ago and requested 17. 16 is held for on board concierge guests who want to book and 21 is the large party cabana. I believe it is 850 for the day.

I'll be on the same cruise! You aren't on the DISBoards are you?

  5. I have an upcoming cruise on the Dream in May and long story short, had some issues with the website when my day opened for activity selection. Thus I missed out on a cabana rental. However, when I look at the list of activities for Castaway Cay I see a list of all the sold out cabanas but there are three of them not listed nor are they able to be selected. It shows all the cabanas except for #13, #16, and #21. Anyone know why these wouldn't be appearing?
