While I agree 100% that they 'must' cancel if logistics for Adventure aren't operational, unfortunately Royal Caribbean has proven over the last couple of months that they can't be trusted to make such decisions in the best interest of their passengers. The October 7th Adventure cruise is only the most recent sailing where they've strung along passengers, with the lack of changes or even acknowledgement of potential contingencies suggesting 'everything is fine'.

 

One thought - has anyone due to sail on October 7th on Adventure called up Royal or their travel agent and asked to switch to another cruise (either this weekend out of Florida, or at a later date)? Their latest update invites passengers "do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions"...if it were me, I'd look at alternative cruises and then take them up on that opening and call and ask them "can I change to cruise X without penalty?"

Tried that 4x!!!! Each and every time they say "NO", sailing is happening on 10/7 :(

I totally agree! I am on that 10/7 sailing. With no choice but to take a much needed vacation "stressed" and unhappy. RCCL is so insensitive. They will never get my business, ever , ever again and the big group I'm traveling with feels the same.

Schedules on AOS on 10/7. Was scheduled to arrive 10/06. JBU just cancelled my flights. According to agent on return of 10/14, they are not rebooking till 10/24, so you may be in airport for 10 days! Why does RCCL think this is ok? Why can't we just sail from FLL????

Was scheduled on RCCL-Adventure of the Seas. Just received notification from JBU that my flights were cancelled. Basically, the rep I spoke to said it is running like a primitive airport-2 operating gates; no running water; no electricity; hand written boarding passes; no air traffic control tower-*** & RCCL wants to shuttle us back and forth from airport to pier. The agent did say upon return on 14th it can take up to 10 days to be able to leave island! It's insane; retarded and insensitive. PR is a disaster zone. It is in no condition to accept more people when people are trying to evacuate. Just leave the ship in FLL port after you disembark evacuees and allow ship to sail from there. I think most if not all of the passengers will be ok with that decision. Otherwise, RCCL better be ready for all the law suits they will receive.
