  1. Carnival uses the Puerta Maya pier. Its about 5 miles south of the International pier. Puerta Maya is a shopping complex that includes a Fat Tuesday and Tres Amigos restaurants. You will have to catch a cab to go to other places on the island.

Are the cab rides safe to take in Cozumel? How easy is it to get a cab?

    Thanks!

  2. Are there beaches close (walking distance to the port) or will we have to take a cab somewhere? If so what is the best beach around the port? Are there bars located close to the port as well to just hang out at until the ship departs? Thanks for the help!

  3. I have already booked an excursion for swimming with stingrays when we dock in Grand Cayman! However, our excursion is from 8-11 a.m. and we are unsure of what to do after 11. Any recommendations? There is a group of 15 of us going and it happens to be one of our birthdays so we want to make sure it's a great day!

    Thanks for your time!

  4. I am looking for an excursion to do in Jamaica! There is a group of 15 of us going and we have heard that Jamaica is an unsafe place to just hang around. Any recommendations would be appreciated :) We are already swimming with stingrays in Grand Cayman.

    Thanks all!

  5. Hello all!

I was told this is where I should post this question!! I am going on the Carnival Freedom this Spring and we are stopping in Cozumel. I have planned some excursions at the other ports we are stopping at, but was hoping to avoid paying for an excursion at this port. I know there is a Señor Frogs there, but I was wondering if anyone knew if it was close to the port or not. I am also open to any other recommendations about what to do in Cozumel that is close to the port! There is a group of 15 of us going, so I am looking for something fun and entertaining!

    Thanks for the help!

  6. I am going on the Carnival Freedom this Spring and it is my first time on Carnival. I have been on Royal Caribbean and Norwegian before and a few hours after you got on board they did a safety drill with everyone. They showed you where to go incase of an emergency, etc. Does anyone know if Carnival does this as well? I am going with a couple of first time cruisers who were asking me about this!
