  1. A similar thing happened to me last year for a stingray excursion in cayman islands.  I had a booked excursion and later noticed that they had removed it from their website.  I emailed them a few times and they kept telling me that it was still an excursion. Weeks later (without informing me), I looked at my booked excursions and they had changed my original one to a different stingray excursion.  The new one was more expensive, but they did not charge me more.  We ended up having a great time, but I felt that they should have notified me of the change.

I have an upcoming cruise to Belize (April) and booked Goff's Caye through a third party.  I did check the Carnival site and they had added it, but it has since been removed. I'm curious to know what happened.

  2. Would anyone happen to know if the second cruise elegant night would be on 4/19 Cozumel? Trying to figure out which nights I want to make reservations for steakhouse and cuciana del capitano. Thank you!

  3. Internet on the Vista was amazing last month when compared to our cruise one year prior on the same ship! It was like night and day. There was a third party company on our sailing that was walking around different areas of the ship to test the speed. The internet plan was definitely worth the money this time- not that I used it often, but it's nice to have when you want to look up something.

  4. Same thing happened to us last summer. Excursion that we purchased was no longer showing up on their website. I emailed shore excursions and they said that it was still offered. A few weeks later, I emailed again to confirm and they told me that they no longer were going to offer it and were switching us to a similar excursion. The new one was more expensive, but we did not end up having to pay the difference.

  5. Definitely umbrella stroller- slide under the bed when not in use. We also brought a small float for our daughter to use while we were at the beach. Also brought beach toys. We took advantage of the babysitting hours during sea days so that we could enjoy the pool and hot tub. She also went to babysitting at one of our ports, so that we could go snorkeling. The staff at Camp Carnival/Ocean are awesome!

  6. The new VIFP program started on June 25, 2012. For those that had previously been gold, they were moved down to red when the new program came out unless they had 25+ days at which time they would have stayed gold. My daughter was gold in 2011 (2nd cruise), but was changed to red in 2013 (third cruise).

  7. OK thanks , do they give you a phone or anything? And they will change diapers?

They do not have phones to give you that will work off of the ship, but I always let them know which excursion I am doing. They will change diapers. I always labeled a small diaper bag with my daughter's name and packed a few diapers and wipes.

  8. If I make a reservation for any of the specialty restaurants on the Vista for a large group, will everyone's meals be charged to my sail and sign card or will each person pay for their own after the meal? I've only been to the steakhouse with my husband and I think I remember paying after the meal. Thank you!!

  9. We were on the Breeze in April and there were no Night Owls parties. One of the counselors in Camp Ocean told me that they were going to be bringing back the parties, because so many parents complained. Not sure if there is any truth to this, but just sharing what she told me. My girls preferred Camp Ocean over Camp Carnival.
