You said no to museums but 5 mins walk from the berth is the maritime museum

We did the museum for a short time but the highlight for an hour was the included sail around the harbour

All the people on the ship were volunteers and great to talk to about sailing and Auckland

Very reasonably priced

I could not agree more, the current set up at Hamilton is awful

Crush into everyone with your case who are queuing outside to join the next 2 queues

If there is any delay then sit on the concrete outside with no refreshment areas

Hopefully there will be a new terminal soon

Thought i would update this thread with a short report on the 10 day Christmas cruise.

Firstly i saw a lot of scathing reviews on the 2 day sampler

I have some sympathy with those , Brisbane port embark and disembark are awful for the number of passengers that travel through

When you do a short cruise and are delayed then takes a big chunk of your cruise not so bad for us on a longer cruise

The cruise was great even if the ship is dated, some staff shortages on bars and some cold MDR food but other than that no complaints

Staff were great, queen show and centrum trapeze were brilliant and pool and conservatory areas excellent

I certainly don't think anyone booked should worry

I wont do a long review but happy to answer any specifics

When we were on the cruise on deck 6 cafe we did say to each other that unless you love coffee i would hate to be in the cabin next to it so understand the poster above

Re booking dinner did you have to book each night on the day or day before?

Shows in the main show lounge incredibly dull and old fashioned but entertainment in explorers lounge we found good

Always loads going on

We did the Xmas and new year cruise which was excellent
