  1. I have this booked for our next cruise in February.  Booked a few months ago and didn't have to pay up front.  Got an email confirming my reservation but not the time or day.  Hopefully it hasn't changed lol

Hey, that worked!! Thanks! As soon as I deleted all Carnival cookies, I logged back in to see the old Cruise Manager! I just hope it stays. It's leagues better than that crappy new version. Thanks again...i'm so happy now lol.

I was going to suggest this too.  I had this happen to me and I deleted the cookies and the old page view came back.  I find I have to delete cookies if I have gone to the FAQ page too much too.

  3. Unfortunately the credit card has a cash withdrawal limit and it is well below the total amount needed. The way they work, I can't just go in each day and take out more, the limit is for the total amount allowed, until paid back, then that amount can be taken out again and then no more is allowed to be withdrawn until paid back.

That and depending on the card there is a fee to do a cash advance.

  4. This may VERY well be the issue.

Why can't the Canadian cruisers just pay online and avoid dealing with the rep?

We pay ours online. I book either with a rep or online and pay as I want. I had this issue with my card getting declined two years ago and it was a glitch in Carnival's system. I have had where the postal code is entered wrong and when corrected it goes through. I also don't pay full cruise at one time. Just the deposit and then when I have funds charge it and pay back as soon as I know the exchanged amount. I also prepay everything I can.

I prepay tips, excursions, drink package, transfers and pre-load cruise cash. We also only use a cash account on the ship.

  5. Hello when we booked our cruise through a travel agent we requested a medical refrigerator for our room and mentioned it was our wedding anniversary while on board . Is there anywhere on the online booking where this information should be showing?

If you go to manage my cruise page and click on cruise details for that cruise. Click the "my guests" tabs and it will list special occasions. I did it for our last cruise in may as it was my birthday and I received shortbread cookies, a $50 spa gift card and mirror in stateroom was decorated. No singing in dining room but hubby or myself did not tell them it was my birthday but I know in the past we have told the waiter about our son and they sang to him and brought him cake.

  6. We did this but booked direct with the cruise line. It was awesome. Times posted are usually local time. The excursion included transportation back to ship as end was not close to ship. When we did it was only 2 & !/2 hours long.

  7. FTTF showed up 6-8 months out on our last 2 cruises. I warn against order Fun shop items too far out as they change. I had ordered well in advance of our last cruise (10 months out) and 2 of the items were no longer available on the ship we were on. We were not told until we were on the ship. They gave us a choice of refund or substitute, we chose to see what else they had. They let us pick out of the Fun shop onboard and we ended up getting an extra item because they felt bad they no longer had it.

  8. You might want to check your VIFP offers to price match if you booked early saver. We just upgraded from an ocean view to a JS obstructed for $182 more for the cabin on our cruise in May 2018. My DH had the offer and it looks like it runs out at midnight today

  9. Just was able to price match our cruise in May on Carnival Paradise. Well I upgraded because our VIFP offer for suites was less than a balcony. I recommend if you have booked early saver to check your offers as this one gave us a suite for only $182 more per cabin. I know the perks are not great but to go from an ocean view to a junior suite is worth the money. Hubby loves the balcony.

  10. Mine is $40 more for this current sale, so I am tempted to see what I can do to get that $100 OBC (I guess $60 really); I am probably going to drive my TA (outside company not Carnival) crazy by May, but I like to get the best deals I can!

It's $60 OBC in the end to go towards whatever you want. Enjoy:D

  11. I booked my 2019 cruise in Jan of this year and a month later price matched. I was able to move up to a Spa Balcony from Balcony (price was same) and got $100 OBC. I found that phoning is better as the one time I sent in the form it gave me the wrong price match. I priced matched in the past for as little as $20 and done it for $200 OBC it was called the Suite sale.

My cruise for 2019 for the same cabin is $20 more when I check the current sale and you get $100 OBC so would be worth it for someone who doesn't already have it as you are then up $80.

You can price match if the room is the same price but there is OBC in this sale.
