We did this a few years ago and it was great. I highly recommend it, although have no idea what it would be like without Josephina.

Will the app work if our phones are set on airplane mode? We do not want to incur any international charges.

We did the Lamanai excursion too and the whole family agreed this is the best excursion we've ever done.

We agree. We loved the Lamanai ruin tour.

What is the cost of coke in the terminals and do they take quarters or dollars?

We took it a few years ago and it was the best shore excursion I have ever done. We were on NCL and walked back and forth to and from her house.

We are trying to decide between Little French Key, Maya Key and Gumbalimba in Nov on the Getaway. Any opinions on which would be best for 2 adults in their late 50"s?
-
I understand about the upsells, my question is if they still do upgrades? I am sorry for the confusion.
-
We sail on the Getaway on 11/27 and we have not received an email about bidding. Can we still call for an upgrade or did they do away with that also? We are in an inside gty and had planned to call for an upsell 2 weeks prior.

Any new information about Fernando? We are headed there in Nov and before booking anything, want to make sure he is not an option.

Thanks so much for posting all the dailies and menus.

Saturday, from 530-830 in O'Sheehan's. We opted for NY Strip in the MDR (which was excellent), as DD prefers steak over prime rib. Beef Wellington was served in the MDR on Friday night, which was also very good.
We are trying to plan our specialty nights. Is the Beef Wellington always on Friday on the Getaway? That is one entree I don't want to miss. Thanks.

We did the chocolate factory last year and had a great time. We took a taxi from the port to the factory and then walked back down to the waterfront from the factory. Our guide gave us very good directions and we had no problem except that it was very hot.

We are thinking about trying for an upsell on our November cruise on the Getaway. Is there a specific phone number I need to call or do I call the reservation number? Do I ask for a specific dept or just speak with a reservation person? Thanks.

Thanks for the help. We will be there on 12/16 and as far as I know, we will dock at 8:00 local time. We usually try to get off the ship right away or shortly thereafter.

We are thinking about doing the chocolate factory tour. Our ship docks at 8:00 at the International pier, can we do the 9:00 tour or should we play it safe and do the 10:00 tour? Is there anywhere to shop around the factory if we get there really early? Thanks.

Amen!!! To well cooked, crispy bacon.

DH and DD were able to bring waterproof cameras and take pictures of each other. I tried but wasn't able to get very good ones even though I zoomed in. I had to stand too far away. I would just pick up a cheap waterproof camera and send it with them. DH said it was difficult but they did get some decent ones. This was a few years ago though so it might be different now.

My husband and daughter did it a few years ago with the 2 for 1 special. It was my daughter's favorite cruise excursion ever. I think she was about 20 when she did it. We made the reservations online even though we came on a cruise ship. We enjoyed spending the day at the park too before and after the dolphin swim.

We did a cooking class with Josephine. She takes you to the market in town to buy the ingredients and then you return and learn how to cook authentic Mexican dishes. It was a fantastic experience and she does an excellent job and would be a great learning experience for your kids. Here is the link

The Quest to find Fernando's 100% Agave in Mahahual

No. The real Fernando was there. We met him at his original restaurant, so we know who he is. We talked to him in person last week.
