  1. I am on the 10/21 cruise out of San Juan and wish they would make a decision as well. Given the news coming from Puerto Rico it's hard to imagine it will be ready for cruises in 3 weeks. They can't get supplies and food to the people who live there. How are they going to supply a ship (or if they can don't --give it to the people of San Juan!) Give me my credit and let me move on to try to salvage some sort of vacation instead of playing this waiting game.

  2. My husband and I won a cruise back in '89. We ended up choosing the Festivale because we loved the ports...left San Juan and hit St. Thomas, Martinique, Barbados and St. Marten. We absolutely loved it! I still remember sitting in the airport going home and listening to a couple complaining about the ship/cruise. We could never figure that out...what a great ship. Yes, she was a little rundown and not as glitzy as the new ships, but still a wonderful trip. Little did I know at the time of the cruise, but I was pregnent with our first child! Poor little guy got an early taste of alcohol. Still have our picture of us on the gangplank at Barbados with the "Festivale" life ring in front of us.

    Great Times!:p

  3. I have to agree.....Janet Evanovich writes great books. The only ones I've ever read that make me laugh out loud :D

If you like mysteries that have the same character, try Jan Burke's Irene Kelly

series....they are not real graphic and are a good read...reading the most recent

one right now and I can hardly put it down.

Another one that's a series are the Eve Dallas ones by J.D. Robb (aka Nora Roberts). These can be a little more graphic but they are very good.

And one last series is by Suzanne Brockman....these are a series featuring an elite army? team and each one focuses on one of the team members...kind of a romantic mystery.

Just some suggestions for any mystery lovers out there

OK just one more suggestion ---- Stuard Woods---the Stone Barrington series - great books, easy read lots of fun. My husband even likes these...probably because women are constantly throwing themselves at Stone......must be a fantasy of his!! :p

  4. I TOTALLY agree with all you "planners" out there. It is great fun doing all the research and planning for a vacation. This is my families first cruise together...kids are 12 and 14, husband and I went on one 15 years ago and I can't believe we let it go so long without another one.

Love reading all these posts.....lots of fun and you learn a TON

Happy Cruising in only 61 days!:p
