We get ours through the casino, it’s based on how many points you accrue during your cruise and also cumulative for the year. You may get offered a free cabin or discounts

Since my husband is a casino prime member, he already gets free drinks in the casino. So the cost of the ultimate beverage package for him and a refreshment package for me is not worth buying. So we cash in points to get OBC to help cover the cost of drinks when not in casino.

Usually 90 days before your sail date

Tried to book a UTV excursion a 2 years ago for myself, DH and my dad (78 at the time). Our reservations were linked so I could do all the bookings for dinner, excursions, etc. When booking this particular excursion, I was able to click on DH’s name and mine but not my dad’s. Tried multiple times until I realized it kept giving me an error stating age restriction. Sure enough, when i reread the tour description, it stated that the upper age limit was 65. I called and was also told I could not book the tour for him. 

Reservations with Dining packages have to be made once on board the ship. They talked about changing that, however it still appears that they have not. MTD reservations should be allowed through the cruise planner, however we have run into the time slots all being full for the days we were eating in the main dining room if we waited too close to sail date to book them. We just had to go down during the MTD period and go in the line for no reservations. 

We used to solely cruise with NCL (21 cruises and platinum plus) and we always booked with their casino for the perks. However, when we switched to RCL, there was no casino match or loyalty match. FYI: we feel the casino perks are better with RCL!

Teppenyaki is the hibachi restaurant on odyssey and they also have Izumi which is sushi. You can use the unlimited dining package in Izumi however they do the price fix plan so you get one app, 2 large plates and a dessert. But with the 2 large plates, if you are ordering sushi rolls, they no longer give you a full roll, it is half a roll when using the unlimited dining package. 

We had unlimited dining package in March in the Odyssey. We did not have an up charge in Wonderland.

We had the unlimited dining package on Odyssey this past March. We did Teppenyaki (hibachi), and we had to pay an additional up charge. 

No reservations needed for We Will Rock You when we sailed Anthem in March.

10 drink card was offered starting on day 4 of our September Liberty of seas cruise to Canada/NE. After gratuity was added, $116 for 10 drinks. Since we did t get drink package due to the ever rising cost of the package and DH gets free drinks in casino, we purchased a card on day 8. That was because the casino was closed all day on day 9 due to us sitting in Bayonne thanks to Hurricane Lee. So no free casino drinks. Card saved us approximately $50.

We sailed last year and took my dad along. When we tried to book a dune buggy excursion prior to the cruise on RCL website, it would not allow me to book my dad due to him being over 65.

For my upcoming WOS sailing in December:

We got this one to use on recent liberty cruise. It’s magnetic and we hung it on inside of bathroom door, that way when we opened the door we could see to step inside but didn’t have a night light shining throughout the whole cabin to disturb our sleep. It worked great. Plus it rechargeable.

Thinking of booking a Mediterranean cruise for sept 2024 on RCL Oasis.  Anyone have a way of getting a rough idea on what excursions would cost. I did try looking at current sailings to the same ports as this cruise would have on the app but all the excursions listed do not show any prices.

We saw a woman win over $15,000 on a slot machine.  Just wished it was me since it was the machine next to the one I randomly chose to play earlier that day. 😞

On liberty now and the casino has taken a good bit of our gambling money already too. As for seeing people win at machines you have played, that happens to us every cruise😖🤣😂🤣😂. Well hopefully our luck will turn around and we will bring money back to PA!!🤞🏻

Coworker in Allure now and she is having a blast! Go have fun, don’t sweat the small stuff and form your own opinions. If all the negativity was true, the ship would’ve full and the demand for cruising wouldn’t be as high as it is!
