  1. I never said that they did something wrong by posting the question nor that they should not have done it. I just wanted to know the rationale behind the post, but unfortunately so far haven't got an answer that would help clearing the confusion.

Cant figure out how to do the quote thing, so I did copy n paste. I just wanted to say that I looked at this topic because "if" we did have a butler or concierge that was recommended and did a good job, its just one less thing I have to worry about. I am the one who convinced my whole family (16 of us) to go on this cruise, and spend the extra money for the suites. So if it happened that we might have been assigned a "just average" butler or concierge, I can adjust my family's expectations now and not have any disappointment later. Forewarned is forearmed is my thinking.

  2. Hi. I had the same question about booking a large group for dinner. There are 16 of us in our family and we all wanted to eat together. And we have 2 wheelchairs and a 5 year old in our group so I knew that would be additional planning.

I called NCL and they asked me to email SpecialEventsGem@ncl.com and request where and when we wanted to eat. I did this maybe about a month ago and was able to get everywhere except Teppanyaki. They said they cannot guarantee tables side by side, but we would definitely be able to get 2 tables next to each other that sit 8 ppl each.

I got a quick response also from Special Events, maybe a day or two.

    Hope that helps.

And this was for the April 30th sailing.

  3. Try specialneedsatsea.com. 1-800-513-4515. We are renting a scooter from them for the week for the Gem out of NYC. They said the scooter can either be picked up from their kiosk at the pier or can be waiting for us in our suite. I asked about fitting through the door and they said the scooter will absolutely fit. Not sure where you are leaving from, but maybe they have a location by you.
