Subbing! I can't wait to read more. Hubby and I sail on the Getaway in 3 weeks and I love reading all that I can to prepare. We also have UDP and so I thank you for showing us how that is working out/breaking down with all the added fees/upcharges. They had us worried, but it seems like all is being honored as was sold so that's great news! :)

I am so excited I found this review because...

- I "know" you from the DIS. I recognize your screen name and am following your preparations for DCL which has been fun to read. (I'm Lady Marie *waves*)

- I am enthralled by this review since this is the ship DH and I decided to go on being that we were not ready to plunk out DCL kind of money when we had never been on a cruise before.... and we don't have kids so maybe we will save that budget if/when our kids could enjoy it too... maybe.... or maybe we will enjoy the Getaway and selfishly book DCL next year :-P

- Lastly, I was laughing out loud at the cat slot machines comment... I had not planned on gambling on our cruise, but now I have to at least play the cat machine. My inner crazy cat lady is bouncing a little with excitement.

I apologize if this has been covered before, but I am a newbie here and did search for this topic. I did not see anything so I hope I am not duplicating...

Anyway, I have yet to see mention of pool hours. I am specifically curious about the Haven on the Getaway, but I am curious about the main pool too. I always see night/evening pictures on others' reviews with empty pools and wondered if there was no swimming after dark or something. I mean I know it can be loud if they were open very late, but even at Disney, the pools are open til 9 or 10pm. Haha! Anyway, just wondering! Thanks!

Hello all! This may be a stupid question, but bear with me-- Cruise Newbie here!

DH and I are taking our first cruise on the Getaway this Sept in a Haven Spa Suite we are so excited! But.....

Yesterday was the 100 day mark to make reservations online. We have UDP and wanted to get the must do's solidified (especially since I am getting the feeling from the boards that the good restaurants are booking up fast with Free UDP promo and even the concierge can't do much about that!). Well, I realized that one of the nights I booked a dinner was overlapping with a show we wanted to do, but I don't see anywhere to cancel or a way to move things around.

Did I miss something, or is it no-taking-backsies once you confirm?

*Note: I of couse did not read the ten page terms and conditions of the booking and the answer may very well have been in there, .... but now I have no way to go back and check :-)

So if some of the professional NCL cruisers (or any that read the T&C!) around here could let me know if I am indeed stuck or if there is something I can do, I would be very grateful!

I'm a little late to the party but....

FABULOUS review--- I am practically salivating! My husband and I are staying in the exact same suite in September and loved having a preview of coming attractions.

Now...if only the next 5 months would hurry up a bit!
