We got one of these free cruises from a time share purchase. They jack up the taxes and port charges so you end up paying almost as much as you would if you booked it yourself. The cruises are at off peak times and in less desirable ships. In the end they sure aren’t as free as you think they are.

We were in Labadee in January, had a great time, but Columbus Cove was definitely the place to be -- the wind on the other side of the peninsula was howling. It really isn't a long walk anywhere, and there are trams.

We snorkeled in St. Kitts and everything was great -- except we didn't see many varieties of fish. Saw a sea turtle. The water is a bit murky. We had a great time, but I'm guessing you see more aqualife in St. Thomas.

Whatever you do with Thenford Grey tours, you will be delighted. We went on a snorkeling excursion with them in January and it was great.

We snorkeled with the Grey tours and can't recommend it highly enough. They supply the snorkel stuff and a guide. Would be great for kids who can snorkel. Basically a private adventure. One warning -- the beach was cobblestones, so suggest water shoes or if you are used to such conditions, you can navigate on bare feet. Reasonably priced, we thought.

We got the digital package on Freedom for $199 (prepaid). We probably had 70 pictures taken total. On the last day, they gave us all the prints for $100 more.

Not many children/teens until early March (spring breaks begin then and usually run until mid April). A little break from mid April to late May, then heavy kiddage demographically until mid August. I would say usually you can bet on the more expensive cruise having more kids, yes? More demand?

Can’t recommend Thenford Grey highly enough. Snorkel guides are great.

They will probably email you a discount price before you cruise, so don’t be in too much of a hurry.

we always meet a bunch of Minnesotans on our cruises ... we went on Freedom in January, watched the Vikes lose in the on-air lounge.
I got 10 bucks that says you're a Tommie. Amirite?

There is no need for priority departure on Labadee. It’s very quick and there is little benefit. There is a tram but you can easily walk everywhere.

Just did this off Freedom and HIGHLY recommend it. Thenford Grey tours are great and reasonably priced. Best snorkel sites on private beaches.

Friday was lobster tails. Second formal night. They also brought lobster tails to the Windjammer that night.

Was also on this cruise, we got great weather and therefore it was fantastic. And I'm not Armenian. But that was a fun group.

Watched the game on Freedom in the Over the Air lounge dominated by Eagles fans. Vikings took their lumps and so did we. Now we are back to cruising.

Thenford Gray tours highly recommended. We did the snorkel and beach and had a private shuttle with a two hour snorkel that was fantastic.

The Royal Caribbean sail and snorkel got crazy when my SIL got behind the bar so ... would recommend highly.

Oh, I thought they just wanted to avoid the lines ... wasn't sure if they wanted to get on the ship or not. My bad :)
