  1. We just got off the Sunshine & this was our cabin. We love the location of it. Lido deck was 1 deck up so we would take the stairs every time instead of using the elevator. Balcony was awesome for me since it was my first.:) Now what is funny is that my friend & I are looking at the same cruise out of Charleston next year with our husbands and she wanted this cabin! LOL! I will have to tell her that it is taken and to pick another one. So excited about the 10 days cruise next year since it will be all new ports for me and only a 3 hours drive to port. Also Sunshine is my favorite ship so far of the 3 ships I've been on.

did you like the port side( left ) more than the right side? I think most of the time cabin on port side is on ocean side not the pier, is that correct?

And also so funny about the room, actually when we booked a few days ago, deck 8 only had a few cabins left in that area! I think this cruise is going to fill fast! The former Destiny, now Sunshine is a great ship. The location of Charlestown and the cruise ports and 10 day leghth is going to attract many early bookings!

We have never cruised in late May and June before, it will be very warm!

We are also only 3 hours away in NC.

  3. We won't cruise without it. We take breaks during the day, so we enjoy having that little slice of paradise. [emoji23].

Nothing better than coffee on the balcony first thing in the morning. Or some wine before dinner or bed.

Also nice to prop the door open while going to bed and hearing the ocean.

All of the same reasons and a few more! In port views, inviting and visiting with friends or other guest. Taking pics and videos. Just adds a whole a new demension!!!

  4. Thanks for your "honest" review. Rather than just having someone say they had a wonderful cruise or a horrible cruise, I like to see why they felt that way. Often, I will find that the things that annoy one cruiser won't bother me at all. If you had told me the food selections and service were horrible, or that your ports were terrible, I would be concerned. But torn carpeting or skinny walkways on the Lido aren't going to be a deal breaker for me. If crowding is an issue, now I know to adjust times that I show up places. Very helpful information!

One question, how long was your cruise? The one I'm looking at is a 9 day. It seems like shorter cruises have more families and are more crowded while longer cruises have more couples and are less crowded.

it has been my experience as well, longer cruises do have effect on crowds and the age groups
