  1. I don't get why people carry on about washing your hands or using the sanitiser. Washing your hands helps to stop you getting sick on your holiday and limits the potential spreading of bugs!

Wash your hands people, I don't want your germs either :)

    Rant over...

  2. I did the Speights tour 2 years ago. It's a 10 minute walk roughly 2 - 3 blocks from the Octagon, centre of Dunedin, where the shuttle buses drop you off. Excellent tour, very detailed and informative followed by the best tasting of any beer tour I've ever done.

They let you pour your own beers and don't seem to care how much you have. Pilsener was exceptionally good!

Book direct to get best value and the time of day that suits you.

  3. Bit the bullet and paid $258.70 for All Inclusive Photo Package on our 14 night cruise on Golden Princess.

With 4 adults (my kids are over 12) in the cabin we will end up with a ton of photos!

My interpretation of the non-existent terms is any photo taken with anyone from the cabin is included in this deal for both printed and electronic copies?

    Cheers...

  4. I've just checked Cruise Personaliser for our cruise later this year and it lists All-Inclusive photo package at AU$258.70 (ouch).

    It reads:

"Take home all the prints and digital files of your cruise for one low price. Plus, purchase pre-cruise and save $50 USD.*"

How did you guys buy it for the $99 USD price?

    Cheers!

  5. Wow how insanely ageist!

Who cares if older people cruise a lot, does it take away or strengthen the market for you? I wager it strengthens the industry. Do they not deserve to cruise for some reason? Is their hard earned retirement money not as valuable as yours?

I see more ships cruising out of Australia than ever before so where is the problem? More ships means more choices to the consumer.

If you want a family or party cruise go P&O, otherwise there are a plethora of options for floating retirement homes which I think is a great thing.

Where you see a problem I see an opportunity :)

Each to their own I guess.

  6. I have done the tour on Sun Princess. It did cost $180 which is expensive as I have also done the tour on Carnival Spirit which was $95. The difference is you get a photo from the bridge visit & one from somewhere else I recall, a thick dressing gown, a chef's robe and personalised stationery.

The tour is excellent however you would need to be a big fan of behind the scenes stuff, like I am, to value it to that amount.

In truth there is little difference between the two tours except for the goodies.
