  1. Hi, sounds like you are on the same cruise as us on Navigator in May?

I was looking yesterday on the port authority website and Navigator is down as dock TPSAJ which I believe is Apolonia Jusante, I think all the Apolonia berths are next to each other.

I am sure I have read somewhere about buses that stop nearby but I don't have any details.

    Regards

  2. So if we would like to use the pool or solarium area do we get ready in our room and get the lifts up, afterwards do we just wrap a towel round our shoulders and go back to our cabin?

Sorry for silly questions but we don't want to look like idiots walking back to our cabin if there is somewhere near the pools to get changed!

    Thank you

  3. Hi everyone, we are on Navigator for the first time in May for 9 nights. Probably a silly question but is there a changing area near the swimming pools / solarium?

We were on Anthem for a few days last year and when I went into what I thought were the changing rooms for the solarium it was just toilets. So my question is, is there a changing room area on Navigator near the pools and where is it? I can't see anything on the deck plans.

    Thanks for all your help,

  4. Hello

I have stayed in Venice in early June at the Liassidi Palace Hotel around 5 minutes walk East from St Mark's Square. It is not near the train station but may meet your requirement of 4 star hotel. It was very nice and has a little courtyard outside area where drinks are served at a very reasonable price and is in a quiet area near local shops eg convenience store, pharmacy etc.

I would suggest staying in Venice to make the most of it and not in Mestre. If you are already in the centre then you can make the most of quiet mornings and evenings when Venice is particularly beautiful. Some of the nicest time was spent early or late in the day. You could of course do this even if you stay further away and I am sure you do get more for your money hotel wise if you stay slightly outside Venice as others have suggested.

If you have lots of luggage I would suggest a hotel near a water bus stop or with a private jetty for a water taxi, as we saw many people hauling heavy bags up and down numerous steps over many bridges.

As others have suggested look at suggested websites for more info.

Have a lovely time, Venice is beautiful.

  5. Yes we are on the 21st May trip and just had an email with amended documents adding the extra night. We first noticed a change as were contacted by the parking people at the port as they have added an extra day to the car booking.

. Their brochure had some misprints in it esp for the May trips, they must be having a nightmare sorting this out. There is a message on their phone line with a number to press for May Navigator trips.

Just had a letter by email, says the change is due to a berthing conflict. The shortened trip gets a refund for 1 night, lengthened trip stays the same price.

  6. Hello, I read on a thread here that brochures for Royal Caribbean and Azamara were available on a Celebrity cruise. I just wondered if it is possible to book a future cruise with either of these while on a Celebrity cruise? I know there will be plenty of opportunity to book a future Celebrity cruise while onboard, just wondered about the other two sister companies? Thanks for your help.
