I also got this by e-mail and can appreciate that they let me know personally and that I don't have to find out on their website.

Just received this email for my japan October 25th cruise

Good Afternoon,
Thank you for your email.
I can confirm that your sailing is no longer on sale as this sailing has now been suspended. This sailing will no longer show on our website or our Celebrity Cruises App.
I Hope this helps.
Not on the celebrity website yet, but that might be 'cause if the time difference.
As we are on the same cruise, this means that we finally can start with planning another trip. Will probably be in Europe and if figures don't get any better, just in Belgium...

The cruise is no longer on Celebrity site , looks like it they are not sailing , which is no surprise . Celebrity offered me a free lift and shift , before the cruise disappeared , to a Solstice Vietnam and Thailand cruise , I have yet to reply to that suggestion , but its not japan..........
Thailand and Vietnam are not an option for us. Been several times in Bangkok already. Also, they are rather cheap countries to do this on your own. Transportation and lodging is more expensive in Japan, that's why we wanted to do this with a cruise...

We are on the same 25th of October Millennium cruise . The entire Asia season for the Millennium have the lower class cabins blocked off.
We're on the same cruise...
W've booked an inside cabine months ago but who knows what will happen. What if they use them for the crew? Will we have a free upgrade, will they offer us one or can we chose to get our money back? Have to wait and see I guess...
Also asked for a lift and shift but that doesn't seem to be possible for this cruise...

We're on the Japan cruise (on Millennium) starting Oct 25, only the retreat is not sold out and of course, price is rather high for that..
Also for the same cruise but starting Oct 11, you can only book retreat class, but about $ 3500 cheaper...
So if high prices might indicate that cruises are cancelled, you would expect higher prices for the first cruise, not for the later one...
Also, the reposition cruise of the Millennium is cancelled and if the web info I found is correct it should be somewhere West Coast Canada...

Anyone an idea when cruise ports in Japan will open again?

A very nervous first time cruiser approached the Captain: “Do ships like this sink very often?” Replied the captain: “Not too often – Usually, it’s only once.”

TA sailings with no passengers might be a solution so that the EU cruising season won"t be affected that much...

On Reflection a few years ago, I had the great pleasure of meeting Arno.
Who's Arno? I know only a Belgian rockstar with that name...

Really? We would need our passports to travel to mainland Europe.
All persons older than 12 years have an ID card here in Belgium and you have to carry it with you all the time. I also use it e.g. at the pharmacy and the library...
ID card is enough to travel in Europe and so far also the UK. Might change with the Brexit but it's for as far I know not yet the case...

And that passage will be noted if trying to get access to USA.
I doubt that. To go to the UK, I need my normal, daily passport or maybe ID card is the better word, to go to the US or anywhere outside Europe I need a travel passport. I don't think they are linked...

Our trip is only in October, so by then things should be back to normal

Danke Miamince, I'll do that

Thanks for your answer. Seems we better stay in port and I'll start investigating what we can do there.
-
We'll be docked at Shimizu from 7am to 3pm. I was wondering whether it's possible to go to the ropeway up to the Kunozan Toshogu Shrine using public transport or do you need more time?
If it's cloudy, we might just stay in the port instead.

As we have to be at the airport around 9 a.m. the easiest way seems to be to take a cab to the Yokohama City Terminal and then change to the Airport Limousine Bus. Maybe see whether we can arrange the cab before we leave on cruise, will make it a more relaxing cruise...
-
Is there any transfer to the Yokohama City Air Terminal from the cruise port?
-
And it's probably also the easiest way back as our flight is too early to use cruise line transportation

I've seen several posts mentioning that due to bad weather, they were unable to tender in Cabo. As we'll be there in November, I was wondering whether the chances of this happening is higher in certain months

Hi,
We also will board in West Harbour, is it possible to just walk to the center? How long will it take?
Thanks!
