  1. If it’s the same port it should be simple. I did a side to side last year which was even trickier due to Covid testing. Went from

Carnival sunrise to MSC Seashore. Luckily they were docked in D and E and we just walked. We waited until the very end to get off of Sunrise and just sat on the benches until we could get on Seashore. It was very easy. I would definitely do a side to side a same port again.

Right next to Billie’s Piano Bar is the Warehouse Arcade. This is where the Chapel and the Library used to be…..

It is so sad that the chapel is gone. I understand from a business perspective, just sentimental because I got married in that chapel!

    1.  With our booking we will receive a promotion for free drink, wifi & GTY paid.  Does anyone know if this is the premium pkg?  If not, can we upgrade?  What happens after we upgrade and the drink is more then the package allows…do we pay the difference ?

    2.  Main dining room…in general how the does the food compare to Celebrity’s main dining room food??

    3. shows… entertaining ?  I did go on a MSC a cruise many years ago their shows were very good with Cirque du Soleil  shows.

thanks for any info you can share!!

    1. It’s the “easy plus” package and there is no limit! You can walk in to any bar and get as many drinks as you want. However, if you choose a drink over 9$. Then you pay the whole thing. I had no issues surviving on the East plus package except for if you want something from the chocolate bar. The drinks there start at $12.

    hope this helps

  4. Hello to the OP.
I will be sailing along with you on this cruise. I sailed on the seashore in March. I will try to answer all of your questions.
    A. Yes there is a separate area for Aires guests. It is on deck 19 or 20, past the water slides. You need your key card to get in. B. You can not bring any outside drinks on. We looked into this specifically as my husband is a Mt. Dew-a-holic. They serve coke on board. Since you have a drink package, go to any bar and they will give you a bottle of water. C. We did not make reservations for anything. I don’t know if this has changed since capacity has increased. We just simply walked in the dining room at our scheduled time. D. There will be vegan food. Idk specifically about meatless, as I would not get that, but they have plenty of Indian and international options, which tend to be geared more to vegetarians. Ask your wait staff the first night if you have dietary options.

Hope this helps. See you onboard.

Well, if able bodied people used the one up two down rule elevators would be a happier place. I see young fully mobile people all the time that will stop an elevator full of people to go down one floor with a staircase right next to it. Pure laziness ......

I see the same thing at my work! It’s infuriating. Also fun fact we have the same type of elevators and NOT ONE VISITOR knows how to use them! All I do is tell people they are getting on the wrong elevator all day.

Yes, I thought it was 3 MDRs for us not-special cabin people. 😄

Can anyone tell me where she's docking these days?  I need to arrange my transport pickup to get me to FLL pretty quickly.  I know they (the transport company) probably knows this stuff, but I've read different comments elsewhere that she's docking at a new terminal; others have said that terminal isn't finished and isn't being used.

    Are they using Terminal F?

They were at Terminal F when I sailed 3/5

Wow, glad we got off the ship yesterday!  We had a great time for 2 weeks but only had 1500 the first week and 1700 the second week!

Agree! Just got off on 3/12, and this definitely was not the situation. No issues with crowds at all. There was a line the first day at the buffet, but then they started opening more aft stations and that issue seemed to improve. We took the aft elevators straight to 16 and had no issues finding seating, drinks, etc. Hope the same happens to you.

Oh you're switching cruise lines. In that case yeah you'll have to get your own. I don't think carnival will provide you a free test to cruise on MSC 😂

Interestingly enough though.. my travel agent told me they are owned by the same company which I did not know!

None the less, Ill be doing my own swabbing

I would recommend using one of the proctored self-tests.  Less stress that way.

Thanks that's what I was thinking as well. I know MSC offers testing for non vaccinated, but it doesn't say anything about vaccinated. Just glad someone else is thinking the same as myself!

  10. Hello everyone!

Does anyone have any info on COVID testing for a side by side? We will be switching cruise lines. Im thinking about just taking a test with us to test on the ship. Will the medical center on board be able to test?

We will be going from Carnival Sunrise to MSC Seashore.

    Many thanks
