My favorite is the Gallery One. About 2 blocks across bridge to beach, one block to Galleria Mall, Publix grocery across street about a block, and water taxi stop at hotel. Very nice hotel!

I have stayed at all mentioned and I would choose Gallery One. Stop at back door and also block from Galleria Mall. Short walk to beach.0

We have stayed at most of the most popular hotels in Ft Lauderdale and the Gallery One is our favorite. About a block from Galleria Mall , has Water Taxi stop and very good service.

My wife and I have stayed here several times and it is our favorite hotel in Ft Lauderdale. However, do not take the shuttle to the port. We asked the bellhop for cab and he called the shuttle over which was parked at hotel. We asked shuttle driver what the cost was and were told $15 per person. We told the bellhop that we had asked for cab and not shuttle and he with a rather disgusted look motioned for cab. Fare to port was $18 plus tip.

I second Bravos. Convenient, good food and excellent service.

You made a great choice. We have also stayed at the Riverside. We were in the newer section with a balcony with nice view. Wonderful restaurants all around and even has a Cheesecake Factory next door

I agree that of the hotels you mentioned, the Courtyard Marriott would be my choice. As the other poster asked, the Gallery One has a water taxi stop at the back door. It is also a great hotel.

I second the remark about Bahia Cabana. Really fun place , especially in the evening. Short walk from Bahia Mar.

We really enjoyed the Bahia Mar. Have stayed here twice and in Marina Bldg both times. Both times on side overlooking the Marina. Lucky enough to have had a nice balcony once where you also could look to your left and see the beach. Only about 4 balcony rooms on each floor in this bldg.

We have stayed at most all of the popular hotels with cruisers and prefer the Gallery One!

I agree with JohninDC. I have been in most airprts of any size in the U.S. and would rank FLL among the worst. Terrible passenger amenities. I would spend as little time there as possible.

We were there during the Air Show and were not affected at all. Really enjoyed watching the planes after we boarded.

Embassy Suites!! Closer to restaurants, and short walk to everything

Based on what you are looking for I would recommend Hyatt Place Convention Center. Free shuttle from airport and then very cheap cab fare to port. Walking distance to shops and restaurants, Publix grocery and Total Wine. Hotel is very popular with cruise passengers.

Our favorite hotel in FLL. Location is great next to mall and across street from Publix. About 3 blocks from beach and Water Taxi stop at hotel. Cab from airpprt approx. 25.00. To port about 20.00. All rooms are suites.

My wife and our two daughters used QLS from Ft Lauderdale Pier 66 Hotel to Miami port and the service was excellent.

The restaurant is a fun place and very popular but As others have said the motel is a real dump.

My first choice would be the W. We stayed there 3 nights precruise and really enjoyed the hotel and the location. Second choice would be the Marriott Beach Place primarily because of its location right across street from beach and with a Bubba Gumps below the hotel.

My wife and I and two daughters used them from Hyatt Pier 66 in Ft Lauderdale to Port of Miami. Excellent service, would highly recommend.

I meant to say the view from room across the hall was the side of the building next door!

When the B was The Sheraton our first stay there was in the beach bldg which we did not like at all. The long hall out to beach was narrow and claustrophobic and our room was on left side with a volley ball game outside our window The view from right side was a wall of the bldg next door.

We have stayed at both and enjoyed both of our stays. The B Ocean was formerly the Sheraton Yankee Clipper and Sheraton Beach Hotel. It has 3 buildings, the main building and the smaller building. Both are on the beach. The other building is connected by walkway across the street and overlooks the Bahia Cabana hotel and restaurant and the marina. The Bahia Mar is just up the street and as the previous poster mentioned there are two buildings. Main building is much better as the other smaller building has one side that overlooks the parking lot and the other the marina. Not much around either but the Bahia Mar does have a small store at the entrance and is right across street from beach. I think if I had my choice I would go with the Bahia Mar if I was in the main building. Both are walkable to shops and restaurants and the Sun Trolley stops in front of both. If you use the Sun Trolley in one direction it will take you to the Harbor Shops with stores and restaurants, the other direction to the main area of the beach and multiple places to eat along with other shops.
