Life is about choices.  If the Royal  C & A drink benefit works better for you that’s  great.

We do primarily longer cruises and B2Bs.  We have never used the HH benefits but for us the free internet minutes (240 each) and discount (35%) , the laundry benefits (2 bags each, 1 item dry cleaned each & 2 pressed items each) and priority tendering have value and are a factor in our decision of

    cruise lines.
When we pick a cruise on Royal we know that the C & A benefits will be of little value to us and accept that is what Royal offers.

Elite gets Priority Tendering?  If so, this is awesome news!

As Aqua includes the Classic Drinks package the Elite drinks are irrelevant.

I’m Aqua, but on a Blue Chip Caino cruise, so no perks. I’m not purchasing an alcohol package, as I just won’t use it enough. Plan on bringing 2 bottles of wine each and using my Elite benefits and pay out of pocket for some drinks.

  3. Anyone know what kind of coffee they offer for breakfast in Tuscan Grille?  So used to getting a Latte or Cappuccino in Diamond Lounge on Royal.  But next month we are on a Blue Chip free cruise, and with 4 bottles of wine, and free drinks between 5-7, we cannot justify the expense of buying the drink package.  We are in Aqua, so we will also get a few bottles of water a day included.

Last time we sailed, we had a Classic drink package, so we just went to Al Baccio for coffee. And never bothered with the Elite breakfast area as we went to Blu for breakfast.

    Thanks!!

Bought the stock during the pandemic, applied and was denied.  The restart happened, bought the stock again, applied and denied.  There was a whole thread about it.  Guessing whomever reviews these (computer or human) automatically denies it if the fare amount is $0 but hopefully they approve it if it's more than $0 (CC/AQ is $10-$20/night)

Right after the restart there was a trick where you could apply both Capt Club benefits and MGM Rewards which had a $200 OBC.  It was reported on here, then the next day someone reported they tried to add the MGM benefits and the rep said a policy letter just went out saying you can no longer double dip

Wow, I guess I am lucky. But again, I did pay a little bit more to have an Aqua cabin instead of the Veranda.  So, for $418, I ended up with $100 Stock credit.  Also transferred some Royal Rewards from Credit Card for another $250 shipboard credit.  🙂

Just bought a 100 shares!  I don't invest in individual stocks so once the OBC gets approved/disapproved will be immediately selling

Gosh, I have ownded this stock for some time and have gotten at least $1,000 over the years in onboard credit!

Maybe I’ll be as lucky in the casino too!

Yes, sounds like there's a loophole by paying for the AQ upgrade means it's not "fully comped" therefore may qualify or someone just approved it not realizing it was a comped sailing

How did you obtain this OBC, simply part of the offer when you booked the paid sailing or (this is all I can think of) part of the stock holder benefit?

Fully comped sailings aren’t eligible for the stock holder OBC

My fully comped Blue Chip cruise qualified for the stock credit. Perhaps since I paid a little more to upgrade to an Aqua Class stateroom it slipped by!

  8. So, I used the app and scanned my passport and husbands.  I added photos and credit card and it wouldn't go through all the way.  So I signed into Celebrity on my laptop.  This is where is gets weird, it had my birthday the same as my husband. Had me marked off as MALE, and my passport number correct, but expiration date was the date on my husband's passport.  I scanned the passports, so this was not me manually doing it.  Once I fixed everything on my computer, it then showed up in the APP and all checked in.  And I was able to add to my iphone wallet from the App.  So very odd.  So if you're having problems with the app, check the website and make sure everything is correct.

Yes, that is where I noticed it. But in the past, I remember Aqua had a choice of pillows from some in room menu. And that was never an option once we boarded. So I definitely wanted to make sure the daily water is still an ongoing thing from people who have just sailed.

Yes, you get two daily waters.  While playing, order a drink and couple bottles of water.  With remember no one checks wine bottle inventory, if you read behind the lines you could put two bottles each into your checked luggage and carry on two bottles each.  If you somehow get caught, they'll give it back to you on the last night

Ohh, now that is a good idea! Although, not sure I will have room for that many bottles! LOL

  11. Sailing in March on the Solstice in Aqua Class. Have sailed previously on the Constellation but don't remember.

We got the BLUE CHIP free cruise, so nothing is included. We won't have a drink package, so I was wondering if anyone can confirm that you still get daily bottled water in your stateroom on Aqua Class.  We intend to bring 2 bottles of wine each, and maybe some bottled water.  Since we are Elite, we will have the daily drinks between 5-7pm, so don't feel it is necessary to buy a drink package and will just pay as we go.

    Thanks in advance!

Have you actually experienced that when on X ships?

So is it similar to the policy on RCI ships where corkage can be charged when you bring your own brought onboard wine bottle into the dining room.

I read the above as it is a fee to bring your own wine onboard.

Yes, in 2018 and 2019, we brought bottles of wine in our carrier on and then drank them in our room, or carried the wine out of our room. Nice big pour too!  Just like on Royal Caribbean.  Corkage fee is only if you bring it to dinner or similar.  And, If you have a drink package, then there won't be a corkage fee at all, even if you bring it to dinner.

This is what my husband and I do on cruises. It's a big money saver!

Since we usually fly to cruises, we get there at least a day early and find a nearby grocery store to pick up wine. We try to buy bottles with screw caps, but we also pack a TSA approved corkscrew.

Bringing champagne works well because no corkscrew is needed. Be sure to ask your cabin steward to clear out your fridge so you can chill bottles.

We also bring Sangria!  And we ask for the cabin steward to bring ice every day.  We will have 2 Pinot Noir and 2 Sangria!  And you can take some fruit from the buffet and make a really great sangria!

Does anyone know what is the current corkage fee per wine bottle when brought on when embarking?

No fee if you open it in your cabin and just ask your cabin steward for wine glasses. Then fill a glass, and bring it with you. No corkage fee!

If for some reason you cannot get to the boarding time without the passport information just put in the info from his current passport, as long as it is not expired already.  You can change it later.

I was able to choose my boarding time for March on the app without inputting any passport info,

The casino offer?  How does that work?  You pay a discounted rate to upgrade?  So if an upgrade is usually $5,000 instead you pay $3,000?

Husband and I have sailed mostly on Royal Caribbean, but have done 2 cruises with Celebrity. (2018, and 2019)

I don't gamble much, usually throw a few bucks in a slot machine or play Roullette, (if my numbers seem to be hitting) Usually, no more that $100 for the whole cruise.  So, I am officially at the PEARL level, which is the lowest level.

My husband and I both received BLUE CHIP offers months ago, (and ongoing) for free 7 night cruise in a Veranda stateroom.  Just pay the Port Fees.  Since we loved our Aqua Suite room and amenities on the Constellation, I called and asked if we could upgrade to Aqua Suite.  They said yes!

So, for my cruise, which does not include liquor, gratuities or wifi, we are all in at $418 for the week.

We are Diamond on Royal Caribbean, so we are Elite on Celebrity.

So, we will get free drinks from 5-7pm each day. We will get a discount on wifi, and of course we will pay for the gratuities. We can also bring 2 bottles of wine per person. So, we are all set.

Our airfare actually cost more than the cruise (JFK to LAX).

I will make sure I gamble a little bit, so we can keep getting these great offers!

    Hi ,

We were able to upgrade to an S1 Sky Suite. Just wondering if someone has experience with this type of upgrade.

    1. We do not show as having a free drink package, wifi or gratuities' on our confirmation document - is that accurate that we will not receive these perks?

    2. The rep did say that we would have access to the suite restaurant, the Retreat and the lounge - is this correct?

Also noticed on the e-mail confirmation there is a link within the body of the e-mail that states that we have all of the above, so we are a little confused.

    We appreciate any insight.

We upgraded to Aqua Suite. May I ask how much it was to upgrade to the Sky Suite?  Would love to experience a Sky Suite, and this would be the perfect opportunity.
