As a newbie cruiser I am curious how long it takes to disembark the Norwegian Sun in Seward? We are staying at the Best Western Seward. We would like to hike the Harding Ice Field Trail and want to leave by 9:30am latest. I would like to arrange a taxi to take us to the hotel so we can store our luggage before we go and I'm not sure what would be a realistic pick up time from the dock. I believe there is also a shuttle service but I'm wondering how long that would take...

If you are flying out of Anchorage and have the time, we are using MICA guides on the Matanuska Glacier. Adults are $74 and kids (8-11) are $62 for a 3 hour glacier trek.

I did get a message back from the company, as long as he is close to 50lbs he will be okay. Thanks for the support, and yes, I will be encouraging multiple visits to the buffet;)

Does anyone know if this tour has assigned seating or is it first come, first served?

If it were me, I would call the vendor direct and ask the question rather than rely on second-hand information. Calling the vendor will ensure you have the correct information ahead of time and alleviate any anxiety so you can relax and enjoy your cruise. :)

We are looking to book this excursion for our family of 5. They have a weight requirement of a minimum 50lbs. My 8 year old son is literally weighing in at 50lbs exactly. Does anyone know if they will weigh him before the tour? I'm concerned that day he will weigh in at 49.2 lbs and they won't let him go and our money will be wasted.
