when it was working, was the speed enough for facetime? I bought the surf and stream package for that reason, but if it does not work well enough for that, I should cancel now (We depart on 5/29)

My family is going to try and make a 1230 flight back from IAH. We will be in a GS. Do you know if they have a separate line for suite/platinum at customs like they to in Port Canaveral, or should we self carry and try and get off as soon as possible?

thanks, looking forward to hearing about it. I have never seen a project take so long with absolutely no communication from the Port as to an estimated completion date.

We like 1278 which we have stayed in, and also have 1286 booked

In between the two 1282 would also do.

Never had any issues.

 

We prefer starboard side, but I would imagine the ones on Port Side are just as good 1578, 1582 or 1586

 

Edit: 1252,1256 & 1552, 1556 are directly below the cantilevered tubs.

I book early, and when the 'deals' happen, I call my TA or Royal and they match it. You just have to watch and let them know, as they don't do it automatically. On my upcoming 5/29 cruise, I called twice since booking when the price dropped.

Thanks. I do have a car service, so that should help some. I just checked and there will be a Carnival ship in port the same day, so that may back things up.

I am cruising out with my family on Liberty on 5/29 and had a few questions:

I upgraded to a GS to try and alleviate the hassle, but have been hearing horror stories about the long lines at customs. I have a flight out of IAH that got moved to 12:30. Assuming I need to get there no later than 11:30, that means I need to be in the car leaving port by 10. Questions for those of you recently back from a LOS cruise in Galveston:

1. Was a Carnival ship docking at the same time you arrived?

2. Did the separate line for Suite passengers expedite the customs line?

3. How early did you get off the ship? I am concerned and may want to carry my own off early.

4. Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated!
